They also provide high protection of all engine work items. All-season varieties are indicated by SAE as 10W40, 15W50, 10W60 and other numeric combinations that determine the range of use of lubricant in accordance with the ambient temperature.

The number located in front of the letter "w" indicates a negative temperature at which the car thickens, and the digit after the letter is the maximum temperature at which the engine is uninterrupted.
