Where are Renault cars assembled? Where Renault Logan is assembled.

23.10.2020

Renault is known all over the world, the French automobile company has been known for over a century. Throughout its history, it managed to go through a lot, including wars and the post-war crisis, and today Renault Group is the largest auto giant, whose cars are supplied to more than 200 countries. Thanks to a mutually beneficial alliance with Nissan, the corporation ranks fourth in the world in car production.

The country of manufacture of Renault cars is France, while the scale of production in the last century went far beyond the borders of the homeland. Reliability combined with an affordable price and continuous improvement are the main components of Renault's success, these principles have been adhered to in the company since its inception.

Origins

The birth and successful development of the brand is due to Louis Renault, who founded the Renault Freres company back in 1898 with his brothers. Already after two years of the company's existence, production volumes increased so much that it was necessary to attract more production lines to the assembly, then an agreement was concluded with a Belgian plant, which began to assemble French cars. In addition to the production of serial cars, Renault was also engaged in the creation of sports cars that took part in races and brought many victories. The constant development of the company and compliance with the needs of the consumer of that time allowed it to stay afloat during the First World War. A Renault Taxi La Marne model taxi was even erected a monument for the prompt transportation of soldiers to the Marne River in 1914, thanks to which the French were able to win and prevent the German troops from taking over the capital. In addition, for the army, Renault Freres produced aircraft engines and ships, and a tank was also designed.

Renault has shown the world no iconic car and each of them has its own history. By 1929 car brand was represented in 49 states, which at that time was considered a huge achievement.

The Second World War caused serious damage to Renault Freres - as a result of the hostilities, several factories were destroyed, Louis Renault himself was accused of assisting the Nazis and arrested, in October 1944 he died. After the war in 1945, the company was nationalized by the French government and renamed Renault. The factories were reconstructed, and Renault cars continued to improve and conquer countries in different parts of the world, receiving numerous awards and universal recognition.

Today, the products of the Renault automobile corporation are very popular, including in Russia, where the production of cars of this brand is actively underway. The cooperation of the Renault Brothers with the Russian Empire marked the beginning of a long friendship that has continued throughout Renault's history, in spite of state reforms and the change of power in the company.

The two-door concept car under the Renault Fluence brand was first demonstrated in June 2004 at the English festival “ Louis vuitton Classic ”, three months later the car, developed in the design studio of Patrick le Quiman, was shown at the international auto show in Paris. It is curious that the serial production The concept arrived in 2008, but under the name Renault Laguna Coupe.

In parallel, Renault's international engineering team was finishing work on a spacious 5-seater 4-door compact sedan.

Where Renault cars are made for Russia and other countries

It was this model that received the serial name. Renault Fluence, which means "smooth, confident moving in dense traffic." Car release Renault The fluence began in 2009 with the Turkish subsidiary Oyak-Renault in Bursa and the Korean subsidiary Renault Samsung Motors in Busan. Moreover, in Korea, the model is sold under the name Samsung SM3 II, and the first generation of Samsung SM3 I in the European market was sold under the Nissan brand. Almera classic... Slightly modified, equipped with state-of-the-art radio communication and video surveillance systems, the Korean Fluence - Samsung SM3 II Patrol Car5 with a 1.6-liter 16-valve 110 hp gasoline engine and 5-speed mechanical transmission became official car South Korean police. IN 2010 year production Renault Fluence began at the Russian plant near Moscow Avtoframos.

After several years of sluggish sales of Renault Megane II in the European market, the concern Renault it was decided to suspend development of Renault's successor Megane iii and replace the model with an aesthetically perfect one. The project team was tasked with creating a car designed primarily for the markets of developing countries, combining an affordable price and the latest achievements in the automotive industry. As a result, in 2009, at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, a new Renault Fluence car was presented, put on the C platform, like the Megane II, having a 6 cm increased wheelbase from the Megane Estate III and trimmed inside like the Nissan Sentra and Megane III, but with the traditional, instead of digital, dashboard indicators.

Confusion with the predecessor-successor-clones of Renault Fluence arises in connection with the practice of French automobile concern a strategy for global unification. From a technical point of view, Renault Fluence is built on the basis of automotive platform used in the production of front-wheel drive, compact cars of the "C" segment - Renault-Nissan C and in terms of chassis / chassis almost completely repeats Renault Megane II. External RenaultFluence review instantly reveals a "hodgepodge" of design elements and technological solutions of the Megan II / III and the Japanese compact van Nissan Sentra.

There are two modifications in the Fluence range. Electric car Renault Fluence Z.E. was presented simultaneously with base model in Frankfurt in 2009. Environmentally friendly clean car Fluence is the triumph of the French concern. It became the first commercially successful electric vehicle. For the "green" Renault Fluence, the price ranges from € 17,500 to € 27,500, depending on the configuration and the presence of a pre-installed lithium-ion battery.

Like many other families, Renault Fluence has a sports version with all the bells and whistles that rely on - trims, spoilers, diffusers in the rear bumper, deep sports bucket seats, 17-inch hefty wheels, shiny, chrome trim elements of the body and interior. The sports version is equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine DCI903. The modification was shown at various world auto shows, but never went on the free sale.

In some markets (China, the Persian Gulf, Latin America), Renault Fluence is produced, which differs from the original version in its "muzzle" copying the restyled Clio Campus model.

At the time of its appearance on the market, the Renault Fluence car was equipped with an order of magnitude higher than all cars of a similar class. The owner received a unique contactless launch and access card, a state-of-the-art multimedia system with wireless connectivity and a digital connector. Sound systems like 3D Sound byArkamys with Plug & Music function are still not available in many elite car families.

In 2012, Renault Fluence underwent a facelift. Updated sedan got xenon headlights, corrected "face", a different shape of bumpers and a radiator grille. Salon Renault Fluence "has risen in price" due to new, very effective finishing materials and a slightly redesigned dashboard with an electronic digital speedometer. Instead of the usual "handbrake", the restyled Renault Fluence has got an automatic parking brake.

Renault Fluence trim levels offer eight standard build options. The basic "naked" AUTHENTIQUE equipment is equipped only with a 106-horsepower 1.6-liter gasoline engine complete with a 5-speed "mechanics". More expensive configurations Fluence CONFORT and EXPRESSION suggest a choice of a 1.6-liter or 2.0-liter engine and a 6-speed V-belt CVT variator(Continuously Variable Transmission). The most expensive DYNAMIQUE assembly has cruise control, parking sensors, emergency braking AFU with electronic distributor EBD.

The price of Reno Fluence, depending on the configuration, starts from the amount of about 625 thousand rubles for the minimum AUTHENTIQUE assembly. For Renault Fluence, the price in the CONFORT version is from 663.5 thousand rubles. The cost of Renault Fluence in the EXPRESSION package is at least 670 thousand rubles. The maximum assembly DYNAMIQUE costs from 776.5 thousand rubles and more.

The business, started by 3 brothers in France in 1899, turned into a very profitable business decades later, and now Renault is the 4th largest automaker in the world thanks to its partnership with Nissan in the form of the Renault-Nissan holding company, and today Renault cars are assembled in different parts of the planet on different continents. There are Renault assembly plants in Russia, and not even one, because the brand is very popular in our country.

In Russia, the Renault automobile concern is represented by its subsidiary Renault-Russia (known as Avtoframos until 2014), which began its work in our country since 1998. Renault-Russia, therefore, also represents its own car plant, which is in fact a joint venture with the Moscow government. The assembly of several Renault models, most popular among Russians, has been established here. In addition, Renault cars are also assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant - Renault owns 25% of the shares of the largest Russian automaker.

Thus, among the largest car factories where Renault is produced and assembled, the following should be highlighted:

  • The Romanian plant produces cars mainly for the entire European market. Romanian Renault cars can also be found in Russia.
  • AvtoVAZ - cars for Russia are assembled here.
  • Automobile plant "Renault-Russia" near Moscow - assembly of most Renault models is established here, and it is the largest supplier of finished cars to Russia
  • Automobile plant in Brazil - cars of the brand do not reach Russia from here.
  • Indian Automobile Plant - Renault is produced here for the domestic market, as well as for a small number of countries in Asia and Africa.

So, now let's find out where Renault cars are assembled directly by model.

Where is Renault Logan assembled?

The most popular Renault car model in Russia, Logan, has won this status, largely due to its cheapness and overall price / quality ratio as an excellent alternative. The inexpensive price for Renault Logan, in turn, is a consequence of the almost full cycle Russian assembly models at two car factories at once: at the Renault-Russia plant near Moscow and at AvtoVAZ.

As for the build quality and which Renault Logan assembly is better, this question is widely open - only Logans of the 2014 generation are assembled at AvtoVAZ, and in Moscow the model is assembled much longer. In addition, the assembly cycle is deeper precisely in Moscow - only panels and assemblies come here, and welding, assembly, and painting are already produced in Russia. However, despite such a difference in assembly processes, the disadvantages of both assemblies are almost the same: squeaks and uneven gaps between body parts, although such disadvantages manifest themselves, of course, not on all Logan cars.

Where is Renault Sandero assembled?

Another well-selling car in Russia is Renault Sandero and its "big brother" - Sandero stepway, began to be sold in our country in 2009; and immediately assembled in Russia. At the Avtoframos plant, now Renault-Russia near Moscow, an almost complete cycle of assembly of Renault Sandero cars has been established.

Where is Renault Duster assembled?

And here is the most popular and one of the most inexpensive (perhaps the most inexpensive among non-Chinese crossovers and not Russian production) crossover and the best-selling Renault SUV not only in Russia, but all over the world. No wonder the car is assembled at all major Renault car factories, including factories in India, Brazil, India and others.

In Russia, Renault Duster is assembled at the same Renault-Russia plant near Moscow. Its conveyors are designed to produce more than 150 thousand cars per year, fully meeting the demand for the model in our country and even the neighboring countries.

Where is Renault Megane assembled?

The oldest model of the company, Megan, has been satisfying car enthusiasts in our country since 1996, when the car replaced the outdated Renault 19 model. Since then, the car has gone through three generations and even more restyling, and wherever this model has not been assembled! But let's start in order.

The first generation of Megan was a "purebred" French - a car for Russia was assembled at the Douai automobile plant in northern France. In addition, for some other markets, the first generation of Renault Meganes was also produced in the Spanish city of Palencia. And since 2002, the second generation of the car has seen the light. At first, the car was produced simultaneously in three countries: a sedan in Turkey, a station wagon in Spain, and hatchbacks are still in France, but then, after the redesign, Renault cars were assembled in Turkey - at the Oyak-Renault car plant in the city of Bursa. From that moment until 2011, Megan was supplied to Russia assembled in Turkey. The third generation was also assembled in Turkey and for some time in Russia - from 2012 to 2013 - at the Avtoframos plant. And, starting in 2014, after the third generation restyling, Megan again began to gather in Russia near Moscow.

Where is Renault Fluence assembled?

One of the youngest models on the Russian market and in the whole world, Renault Fluence, first saw the light of day in 2009, but the Russians first got acquainted with the model in 2010, when its production was established at the car plant, which was then called "Avtoframos "(now Renault-Russia). In addition, almost simultaneously with the sales of Russian-assembled Fluence, cars began to be imported to Russia and from Turkey, where they were assembled at the Oyak-Renault automobile plant. And in 2013, after restyling, Fluence for Russia is also assembled in South Korea at the Renault plant.

R enault Fluence was officially released to the public in August 2009. The car was intended to replace the Megane II three-volume hatchback (notchback) in the markets where the car was sold. However, given that such a version was not in great demand, it was decided to build a classic sedan on the Renault / Nissan C platform. And to make the car more attractive - to increase the wheelbase to 2,700 millimeters and make it big enough, closer to the dimensions of segment D cars.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

By the way, three months earlier, the premiere of the same car, but bearing the Renault Samsung SM3 nameplate, took place in Seoul. The fact is that Renault Fluence was developed by the international team of engineers of the Renault-Nissan alliance as a global car, and the Korean design team took a very active part in this work. The result is a true child of globalization, marketed in over 80 countries. Well, since the car was designed as "comparable in comfort to the D-segment, but affordable", it was maximally unified with other models, including previous generations. So, the Megane III platform was combined with the power units from the Megane II and the rear suspension from the Nissan Sentra, and climate control, steering wheel and the front panel design have been unified with the Megane III and Laguna III.

Initially, the production of Fluence was launched at the Oyak-Renault plant in the Turkish city of Bursa, then the assembly line was launched in the city of Santa Isabel (Argentina). Soon SKD was set up at the Avtoframos plant in Moscow, which was replaced in 2010 by full-cycle production. A plant in Busan, Korea, was responsible for cars for Asian markets.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The range of engines, which was equipped with Renault Fluence, cannot be called particularly wide. It included gasoline engines volumes of 1.6 and 2.0 liters with a capacity of 106 to 140 hp. There was also a 1.5-liter turbodiesel in four variants, capable of producing from 85 to 110 hp. Together with them, five- and six-speed manual gearboxes, a classic four-speed automatic transmission, a variator and a robot with double clutch... However, in some markets - for example, in Argentina and Brazil, a sports version of the Fluence GT was also offered, equipped with a two-liter 180-horsepower Renault engine TCe 180 combined with a six-speed manual transmission.

Fluence sales in Russia started in 2010. Initially, versions were offered with a 1.6-liter K4M engine with 106 hp, which was paired with either the classic four-speed DP0 automatic transmission or the JR5 manual gearbox. Later, buyers were offered a more powerful version with a two-liter M4R engine, aggregated with an FK0 variator or a TL4 MCP.

In 2012, Fluence underwent a major restyling: its appearance was brought in line with the new corporate style, there were xenon headlights, a USB port in the audio system and standard daytime running lights. Updated model presented at the Istanbul Motor Show, and its production at the Moscow Avtoframos plant began in April 2013. In addition, the gamut power units replenished with a 1.6-liter H4M engine with 114 hp. paired with a DK0 variator.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

Sales of Fluence developed quite successfully: at the price of basic configurations, the model competed with mass cars in the B + segment, and in size, a set of options and space in the cabin - with cars not only in the C segment, but also D. However, the crisis affected the popularity of Fluence in the most destructive way: in 2015, only 1,408 Russian buyers chose this sedan, and in March 2016, Renault's management decided to stop production of the model in Moscow and withdraw it from the market.

Yet Fluence still accounts for a significant share of the vehicle fleet. passenger cars and is present at secondary market, although its liquidity is assessed as low. Why? First of all, due to a number of contradictions inherent in the model, ambiguity in the assessment of many of its qualities by the owners and the overall image of the brand. Owners really evaluate Fluence very differently, and this applies to both the model as a whole and its individual characteristics. So what is Fluence loved and hated for? It turned out to be quite difficult to answer this question, since we had to exclude from the story those qualities that caused diametrically opposite reactions, and leave only those in which the owners showed sufficient unanimity.

Hatred # 5: "The French are such entertainers ..."

French designers have always been distinguished by some originality of their solutions. Sometimes these solutions turned out to be successful, sometimes not very, but any such solution took time to get used to. Fluence in this regard is no exception, and it's good that the horn button is located in the place we are used to, in the center of the steering wheel, and not on the end of the steering column switch.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

But the originality of the steering column joystick with many audio control buttons, which must be pressed blindly, since the joystick is completely hidden by the steering wheel spokes, is noted by almost all users. Someone writes that they could not get used to it, someone else - that over time they got used to it and even began to consider it very convenient, but this does not change the situation. The hands-free system is also located there, and it is completely incomprehensible why the "pause / call reception" was made with a second delay. In the reviews, they write that at first it simply leads to a stupor.

On the radio itself, to switch to the next track, you need to press the arrow pointing backward, and the previous one - forward.

Another strange solution is the placement of the keys for controlling the heated front seats in their lower part. Someone even writes that if the designers shoved these buttons under the seats, it would still be more convenient. Well at least there is a heating indicator on the front panel. True, he is alone for two, that is, for the driver and passenger, and the person sitting behind the wheel cannot always understand whether he pressed the key badly, or the front passenger who came out left his seat in the heating mode.

There are also questions for the cup holders. There are two of them, but you can really use only one - at least if you want to put a bottle of water there. Putting the second will interfere with the manual gearbox shift lever or the machine selector.

It is extremely annoying that the central vents of the ventilation system do not have a shutter that covers them. The side deflectors have such flaps, but the central ones do not! That is, if you want to prevent cold air from blowing on the child riding behind you, you just have to turn off the air conditioner. And directing the flow of cold air so that it does not blow in your face, you will not succeed either. This is especially true for drivers with a height below average.

There are certain oddities in climate control. So, behind the rightmost "twist" you cannot see the directions of the air flow, plus it is impossible to direct all the airflow to the windshield without turning on the air conditioner.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

Finally, many want to look into the eyes of the person who designed the bonnet lock. Although, to the credit of French engineers, it is not necessary to open the hood very often, but even experienced owners complain that each time they look for a lock lever for a few minutes.

Love # 5: "Full stuffing!"

A lot of owner stories on the Internet start out very similarly: there was a certain amount of money, they chose a car, asked the price for many models, at first they didn't even look at Renault. And then we saw Fluence in the salon, got acquainted with the equipment - and that's it, we left in this car. Because in no other car for 600 thousand rubles (remember that we are talking about pre-crisis prices) it was impossible to find keyless access, starting the engine from the start / stop button, a cooled glove box, xenon headlights and light and rain sensors. For example, the Expression package included six airbags, a start-stop button with a hands-free card, electric heated seats and mirrors and electric side mirrors, fog lights, a four-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control, retractable sun curtains at the rear ( such luxury and not all models of premium brands offer), leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift lever, driver's seat with adjustable height and lumbar support and steering wheel with tilt angle adjustment.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

Well, and the overall design of the cabin ... The "moonlight" illumination of instruments and controls received special approval. There were cases when people already seemed to have chosen another car, but after seeing how the Fluence was illuminated inside, they bought this model.

Many people note as a significant plus the presence of a timer to turn off the power of all electrical consumers when the engine is off, which excludes the discharge of the battery due to forgetfulness. True, this timer will provide some problems for those who like to arrange a disco in nature during picnic trips, but these are trifles.

A lot of praise goes to the hands-free chip card. Indeed, he approached the car, took any doorknob, Fluence unlocked the doors and removed the alarm. He got behind the wheel, pressed a button, and the car started. I muffled it, got out, walked away a couple of steps - and the car itself stood guard. No bunches of keys, no key rings tearing pockets and being forgotten at home, and most importantly, when you come from a store with a lot of bags and packages, you don't have to put them on the ground to press a button on the key fob. What's more, if you leave the windows open, the car will close them for you, so you don't have to go back behind the wheel and start the engine. But not all representatives of premium brands can boast of such a function even now!

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The owners also appreciate the adequate operation of the rain sensor, and even those who previously were skeptical of such systems. The owners also like the materials of the interior trim, the soft plastic on the front panel, and the build quality of the interior as a whole.

But the Fluence salon after restyling for some reason causes much more criticism: “The plastic of the visor of the dashboard and doors has become wooden, where the cool curtains of the rear window and rear doors have disappeared. The speedometer has become electronic, which is also for every fan, the seats are different, and the fabric on them is somehow cheap, the headrests have also changed not for the better. "

Hatred 4: South Stream Trouble

The name Fluence should evoke associations with a flowing stream. Only now it is felt that this flow is southern ... Indeed, neither France nor Turkey, from where the first cars were imported, can boast of harsh winters, so a number of aspects winter operation the creators of Fluence simply did not think. No, no one complains about problems with starting the engine at negative temperatures - both at minus 20 and at minus 30, the car starts up if not the first time, but it is quite correct, but there are other problems - large sleds and small sleighs.

Firstly, in the cold, the suspension stiffens, and extraneous noises appear during its operation: the stabilizer bushings creak lateral stability... The sound was especially clearly audible when the tall “speed bumps” were passing after an overnight stay.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

Secondly, the car practically does not warm up for idle- only on the move. Covers made of leatherette for gearbox levers and hand brake... The trunk lock button freezes, and as a result, the trunk may start to open spontaneously. The gearbox link cable freezes.

The air exchange is not very well organized: in severe frosts, the rear door windows are almost always frosty. But the most unpleasant thing is that this frost also turns out to be on the inner side of the roof, and during the thaw, thawed condensation begins to drip onto you.

It is very difficult to clean the Fluence from snow, but it must be cleaned. Otherwise, the snow clogs the niche between the hood and the windshield, the washer fluid will not flow down the chute into the holes for its drainage, which means it will soak the snow on the chute and, with all its poisons, be sucked into the cabin, since this is where the air intake is located. But to clean this area, it is imperative to open the hood, the lid of which prevents the wiper blades from being lifted! Naturally, in this case, the brushes tend to freeze to the windshield: their rest zone is located below the level of warm air blowing over the windshield.

The windshield is generally desperately freezing at the edges, especially below, since warm air is supplied to it from the deflector located in the center of the upper part of the front panel. The regular brushes themselves have earned only one assessment: "the junk is full, in winter they dub and only carry dirt on the glass, you need to change it right away."

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The situation is no better with rear window... It is electrically heated, but the power of the heating elements is by no means sufficient. The heating melts the snow, which flows in the form of water into the chute between the glass and the trunk lid, where the water safely freezes, and a crust is obtained that increases the size of the trunk lid by almost 5 cm.Then you open the trunk - and this crust of ice hits the glass.

However, in winter, Fluence also shows such a virtue as a very decent soundproofing: “When the real winter finally began, and the roads were covered with snow and ice, then when the leading front wheels slipped, I inadvertently began to suspect that something was wrong with the clutch, because I did not hear the sound of skidding wheels, or the sound of snow beating against the arches and the bottom of the car. It turned out that everything is in order with the clutch, just when the windows are closed, you can't hear how the car is slipping. "

Love # 4: "Size Matters"

The creators of Fluence initially tried to make the internal volumes of the model its main competitive advantage, and we must admit that they did it very well. As a matter of fact, the statement that the model was chosen because of the spaciousness in the cabin is found, if not in every review, then certainly in the overwhelming majority of them.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The interior is spacious - noticeably wider than, for example, in the Mercedes C-class. Its space is visually expanded by the shape of the front panel. You sit freely, nothing presses, you don't push your elbows with the passenger. The range of seat adjustment is huge - if you push it all the way back, then you can't reach the pedals. The back row accommodates a child seat and leaves a lot of legroom for the child.

There are, of course, some drawbacks: because of the sloping roof, the ceiling will still press on the heads of the tall rear passengers, dashboard somewhat overwhelmed, and the steering wheel overlaps the upper segment of the speedometer, the central armrest is 4-5 centimeters lower than we would like ... But these are trifles that do not spoil the overall picture.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

But even more enthusiasm is the volume of the trunk. It is 530 liters, and it is deservedly called one of the largest in the class. Some of the owners of Fluence carried a gas stove in the trunk (although it did not fit through the opening, and they had to load the stove through the cabin door), someone transported 220 mm long furniture boards, someone settled in the cabin for the night. All this became possible because the rear sofa can be folded down, getting a platform with a flat floor that is unified with the trunk.

Hate # 3: "Watch the noose!"

However, a large trunk is not only good, but also bad. At least sometimes…. In particular, many note that to get from the depths luggage compartment any thing, without leaning on the bumper and without staining the trousers, is almost unrealistic even for a tall person. In addition, the inner handle on the lid for closing the trunk appeared only after restyling, and before that the owners had to keep a rag in their pockets to wipe their hands after contact with a dirty body part.

Well, in almost every review there is a mention of "arcs", "sickles" or "skis" - massive hinges on which the lid is suspended. These hinges not only eat up part of the volume, preventing the transport of a bulky "mono-load" (for example, only because of them a set of 4 standard-size wheels does not fit in the trunk), but they can also damage some fragile item. As a result, Fluence owners get used to "playing Tetris" and placing their luggage very neatly. So they are perplexed: why was it impossible to make these loops a little smaller and not place them closer to the rear fenders?

Love # 3: "I stopped understanding these people ..."

French engineers have always been able to create simple, but very durable and energy-intensive suspensions - just remember the Logan, Duster and Kaptur. Fluence is no exception in this regard. Its suspension has a very trivial design: in front there are MacPherson struts, in the back there is a semi-independent torsion beam, but absolutely all owners rate it with the highest score. The suspension swallows any obstacles, while driving through large holes, only light jolts reach the passengers. There is a joke among the owners: "I bought Fluence, I stopped understanding people who slow down in front of tram tracks." Slowing down, of course, is necessary to maintain the suspension, but the softness when passing, say, speed bumps is guaranteed.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The owners note that, according to the subjective perception, Fluence is quieter and softer than Renault Laguna - and it was believed that Laguna could compete with Volvo in terms of smoothness! In general, the suspension is both quiet and resilient. In addition, it reacts very neutrally to longitudinal rutting and behaves quite predictably on a snowy road. Just what is needed for Russian destinations, where there are broken asphalt, grader, and primers.

Well, 170 mm ground clearance allow Fluence owners to feel very calm when traveling to the country, on a picnic, fishing or mushrooming. In the city, you can safely drive up to any curb without fear of catching it with a bumper, and outside the city you can drive along a forest road without fear of catching on a snag of some part sticking out under your belly.

Hatred # 2: "We were rocked by a wave ..."

However, there is a downside to the ride-comfort suspension. Firstly, it is roll when cornering. Although here, as they say, "the opinions of scientists were divided." Some admit the presence of rolls in corners, but believe that they do not go beyond the permissible limits, since the car remains controlled and clearly follows a given trajectory. Others believe that the rolls are still too great, and the driver in a turn begins to be carried sideways - either towards the door or towards the center armrest.

Many people note the tendency of the car to enter the swing on a gentle wave, and this swing, in which the body in motion repeats all the unevenness of the road, can cause some discomfort: long journeys Fluence passengers are frankly seasick, and, as you can imagine, children and women suffer the most from this.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

Besides, soft suspension in combination with very tenacious brakes (we will talk about them a little later) leads to very powerful and sharp pecks at each deceleration and situations like "in the first couple of days, my wife almost broke her nose on the panel." Well, taking into account the too artificial effort on the steering wheel and "swimming" on the road at highway speeds, the collective mind evaluates the Fluence's handling very low - at a C, at best - at a four with two minuses.

Love # 2: Diamond Shape Anti-theft

Renault Fluence has one more indisputable advantage, arising, oddly enough, from its own shortcomings and the original image of the Renault brand as a whole (we are only talking about the image within our country). This is an almost complete lack of interest in the car from the hijackers. Statistics say that the risk of theft for this model in 2015-2016 ranged from 0.23 to 1.08%, while, say, for the Audi A8, this figure is 8.5%, and for Ford focus - 7,5%.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

On the Internet, I came across a story about how a person left on vacation, and when he returned, he found that he had not locked the car and had forgotten the key card inside. The car stood for two weeks open, with the keys inside, and nobody was interested! By the way, curious collisions happen with these key cards. The fact is that this device allows you to leave without it, and such a development of events is quite possible: “I started the car, then went home to change my jacket, and accidentally left my key card in my jacket at home. I arrived at the place, but I can not turn off the car: it does not respond to the start / stop button, the panel lights up "I do not see the key, to turn it off, press and hold the start / stop button." What to do? I'm alone. To drown out means not to leave any more: it will not start without a key. I had to leave the car running and open for half an hour. " Pay attention: here, too, no one encroached on the car ...

In general, as stated in one of the reviews, Fluence is equipped with a diamond-shaped anti-theft device on the hood.

Hatred # 1: "For those who understand life ..."

Yes, most of the critical arrows fly into the dynamic abilities of Fluence. It should be borne in mind that cars of this model with engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters are completely different in nature. Naturally, the two-liter versions with a variator cost significantly more and were sold in smaller quantities. But the owners have almost no complaints about them: the car demonstrates quite acceptable dynamics even with 3-4 passengers on board, a roof box and a full trunk and allows you to make confident overtaking on the track, intensively accelerating even from a speed of 100-120 km / h ... The engine is very high-thrust and elastic, a confident set of speed is possible practically in the entire rpm range, and the engine makes noise only after turning over 5000 rpm. The tandem of the variator and engine in this car is beyond praise.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

It is only worth noting that the variator does not like nervous driving, and that it actually does not provide for a kickdown mode. At hard pressing on the accelerator pedal, the variator is in a stupor for a couple of seconds, and in order for the acceleration to be predictable, you need to press the gas pedal quickly but smoothly. Then all 138 horses under the hood will rush to the cherished goal without hesitation and races.

And a completely different thing - a car with a 106-horsepower engine. This motor really does not have enough power, and in many reviews the owners write that the car "does not go", especially if you turn on the air conditioning. The versions with a four-speed automatic transmission are especially criticized. Versions with MCP go a little more fun, but not much.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

The most important and most annoying drawback, which, unfortunately, is rarely mentioned, is short transfers MCP JR5. Comfortable speed does not exceed 110 km / h, because at a higher speed the annoying hum of the engine begins to break through very good sound insulation engine compartment because 110 km / h is almost four thousand revolutions.

The situation is aggravated to the limit by the electronic gas pedal damped for the sake of ecology. In traffic jams it is impossible to be quick: I just aimed to get into the hole, pressed the gas ... And the car thinks, thinks, thinks, as it has decided and went - that's all, it's too late, there are no holes anymore ... Because of this very pedal, many write, that subjectively there is a feeling that the engine power is only 70-80 horses, instead of the passport 106.

Indeed, when you press the gas pedal in the first second, nothing happens at all, and then a smooth increase in revolutions begins. The same thing happens when you release the pedal - for a few more seconds, the rpm does not decrease, and then a smooth reset begins. The electronic gas pedal is a voltage converter that sends a linear signal to the commutator - that is, regardless of your pedal pressure throttle it opens and closes smoothly, with a second delay, and it seems that the pedal is connected to the damper not with a cable, as on conventional machines, but with a rubber band. But in the end, attempts to vigorously overtake or a sharp start from a traffic light can easily end in an accident.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

It is worth noting that there are much fewer complaints about the restyled versions with a 114-horsepower engine in combination with a variator. And a lot is written about the excellent braking dynamics corresponding to a much faster car. One has only to take into account that the front brakes slightly overbrake in relation to the rear ones (this also affects the difference in the wear of the front and rear pads), and the same effect is created as on rally cars with diluted contours: when braking in a turn, the stern begins to demolish.

Love # 1: "I have no screwdriver ..."

Few people associate the Renault brand image with the word “reliability”. Reliability is the Japanese or the Germans, but here ... Probably, the memory that sometime in childhood some uncle Vasya told me that his Renault or Peugeot was constantly breaking down ... But the fact remains: the most important advantage of Renault Fluence owners find it reliable. And these are not empty words.

The owners say that over the years of their coexistence, their favorite cars managed to see the perfectly smooth autobahns of Germany, stand in traffic jams at a temperature overboard of about 40 degrees in sunny Italy, more than once drove companies to graders in Karelia, patiently counted bumps on the roads of Poshekhonya that were killed in the trash. ... In general, they were operated in completely different modes, but without serious breakdowns and other excesses.

Renault Fluence "2009–12

As a result, many of those who bought Fluence as a pass-through option for three years began to think about whether such a car is worth selling. Indeed, you won't get a lot of money for it, liquidity is low (remember about Uncle Vasya and his stories that have sunk into the soul), and the car regularly performs its functions, does not pull money, does not annoy with breakdowns, and everything else has already become a habit. The 1.6 K4M engine can be considered unkillable and begins to eat up oil with runs over 300 thousand kilometers, the clutch under a normal driver lives up to 200 thousand, the chassis requires intervention with runs of 180-200 thousand, and Fluence repairs are relatively inexpensive. So these cars become the favorites of the family, receiving affectionate nicknames "Flyu", "Flyunya", "Flyusha" or "Lucy" ...

Are your emotions from Renault Fluence?

The history of the French company Renault began in 1899, when three brothers decided to open their own workshop. Decades later, the business began to gain serious momentum, and, at the moment, the company is ranked fourth in the ranking. largest car manufacturers... The main reason for this success is close cooperation with the Japanese concern Nissan, and, as a result, the creation of the Renault-Nissan holding.

Today, Renault cars are assembled at factories that are located in many countries of the world.

On the territory of Russia, there are also several branches that produce French cars. Therefore, it is not surprising that the concern has gained great popularity in our country.

A subsidiary company Renault-Russia, which has been successfully operating since 1998, and, until recently, was called Avtoframos, is responsible for assembling cars in Russia.

Renault-Russia also includes a large enterprise that makes cars directly for Russia. Several models of French cars are produced here at once, which are in greatest demand in the domestic market.

Renault is also assembled at the AvtoVAZ car plant, only 25% of the total production is produced here.

The largest factories where Renault cars are produced are:

  • a Romanian branch, at the facilities of which cars for the local and European markets are assembled. Quite often, Romanian "French" can be seen on Russian roads;
  • domestic AvtoVAZ and Avtoframos, thanks to which Russia is considered a major manufacturing country. The products of these enterprises are supplied to the local market and to the CIS countries;
  • a Brazilian car factory that assembles products for the Latin American market;
  • an Indian car factory that assembles Renault cars for the local market, as well as other countries in Asia and Africa.

No one is surprised by the fact that Renault Logan is the most popular French car in Russia. The whole secret of success is that domestic motorists can get a wonderful, high-quality car for little money.

The low cost of the model is explained by the fact that Logan is produced on two Russian factories where the full loop build method is used.

If we touch on the issue of build quality, it is very difficult to compare two domestic enterprises, because AvtoVAZ produces the 2014 model, and Avtoframos produces the latest Logan modification.

Be that as it may, the products of both factories have quite similar disadvantages: insufficient welding density of body parts and a low level of noise insulation.

Where is Renault Sandero collected

The famous French hatchback Sandero can boast of great popularity not only in Europe, but also in Russia.

After the release of the latest version of the model, the demand for cars has grown significantly, therefore, it was decided to assemble the car at domestic facilities.

At the moment, the serial production of Renault Sandero has been established only at Avtoframos, however, due to the high productivity of the enterprise, the automotive market does not feel a shortage of French hatchbacks.

Where Renault Duster is assembled

According to experts, at the moment, Renault Duster is one of the three best crossovers in the world market. Therefore, it is not surprising that the car is in incredibly high demand among domestic motorists.

Renault Duster is the only model of the French company that is assembled at all branches.

For the Russian market, the crossover is made at the Moscow Avtoframos, from where the products are supplied to the local market and to the CIS countries. It should be noted that the productivity of this enterprise is 150,000 vehicles per year.

Where Renault Megan is assembled

Probably, there are no such motorists who have never heard of the Megan model in their life. For the first time, the car was presented to the public in 1996, and since that time 3 modifications of the car have already appeared.

Renault Megan of the first generation was assembled exclusively at the enterprises of France. The second generation, which debuted in 2002, was already assembled in 3 countries, including Turkey, Spain, and, of course, France.

The third generation of Megan, albeit with short interruptions, is still produced at the Moscow plant Avtoframos.

Where Renault Fluence is assembled

For the first time, the automotive world saw Fluence in 2009. Already in 2010, the model appeared on the domestic market, after it began to be assembled at the Moscow branch of Renault.

Due to the low productivity of domestic workshops, Renault Fluence is also supplied from Turkey and South Korea.

Conclusion

Renault cars are in high demand in Russia, therefore, most of the company's models are assembled at domestic enterprises, which makes their price very attractive and competitive.
