The gearbox is clearly designed for the city, the gears are very short, in 1st at idle it literally crawls, which is very convenient on dirt roads, when driving through potholes, etc. But on the highway there was not enough 6th gear, at 100 km per hour in 5th gear it was already 3000 rpm. The Euro-4 engine is either strangled, but it is very dull and thinks when accelerating.

Body: The paint, like all modern cars, is not very strong, there was not a drop of rust, the gaps are large, but smooth everywhere. Metal foil is bare. The sills have been thoroughly treated with anti-corrosion and anti-gravel from the factory, all the pipes under the bottom are closed and hidden.

I recently sold it to my son for symbolic money, because... they didn’t want to let go of such a car, which had served faithfully all these years in the harsh conditions of daily use. The son was also happy about this, because... classic 5 and Logan is a bit different cars, so he’s crazy, probably the same way I was when I bought it.

So, in order. Over the course of 4 years, two trips to Crimea totaling 6.5 and 7.8 thousand kilometers, respectively (the figures are approximate, because I don’t remember exactly) and in 2014, a forced march across Europe with a two-week vacation in Spain. In a month we traveled through 12 European countries and covered 16,000 km. During the entire trip, the car never failed, neither in traffic jams in Berlin and Paris, nor on the autobahns, nor on the mountain serpentines of Austria and Monaco. We went as a family of 4, the children were practically adults, 13 and 23 years old. We didn’t experience any particular fatigue during the trip, although if there was more space in the back, it would be more comfortable for the rear passengers. Average consumption for the trip it was 7.1l/100km with the air conditioning on. Fuel is 95 everywhere, except for France, where we had to pour 98, 95 there is 95E10 (it’s difficult to find 95 without alcohol, but it’s possible, we just didn’t come across it on the way), Belarus and Russia, where we ate regular 92. You can scold me, but subjectively I didn’t feel much difference from consuming 92 and 98 gasoline on Logan.

Finally decided to sell this car. He is already 8 years old (almost). The mileage is currently 128,000 thousand km. Since the previous review, I have changed the thermostat 2 more times, but it still does not heat up in winter. A blanket over the engine and homemade dampers in front of the radiator save the day. I think the reason is short trips (10-30 minutes) and parking (1-3 hours).

There is rust under the gas tank cap. There is no rust at the place where the chips were on the fenders, sills and hood. I bought a kit to replace all the belts and rollers, + a pump just in case, because... Antifreeze evaporates somewhere, but not critically (50-200 grams in 0.5 years). There is no time to replace it yet. When changing the front brake pads, I also changed the rear ones at 110,000 km. I changed the summer BARUM to NOKIAN - different sensations - no aquaplaning at all and good braking performance on wet asphalt. I won’t change my winter tires yet and the old ones have more than 80% studs.

And now about the crickets: the main crickets supply the window regulators - all on fins. Either with slightly open windows or completely closed ones, the algorithm is not clear. Fuel consumption outside the city remained 6.5-7 liters per 100 km; in the city, due to short trips and long stops, 7.5-8.5-9 liters per km (no air conditioning).

People who bought even budget ones foreign cars will drive our cars only if life forces us or if there are no other cars...Probably the AvtoVAZ defenders will attack now...Logan is ugly practical car for people of low income, which does not cause problems with proper maintenance..

I actually bought a Logan at the beginning of 2012, in the average configuration (only front electric windows and central locking are among the amenities) for 375 thousand. At first, there was simply no limit to my delight: how come, I’m driving in my car, I don’t hear the rumble of the metro train, and I also listen to my favorite music!

In the very first month I dented the wing (to the metal), and not just anywhere, but in my own garage. I sold it with this dent and, I must say, I was very surprised by the quality of the metal: not even a hint of rust appeared on the wing in a year and a half. Another thing is the threshold. In winter, somehow, through negligence, the right threshold was crushed; almost immediately, in those places where it reached the metal, it became covered with light rust.

I’ll say right away that this is my first car, there’s nothing special to compare it with, except maybe a little bit with the Octavia that I’m driving now. A little bit, because the class of cars is, of course, different.

Why Logan? I didn’t have much money, initially I wanted to buy a used car higher class, but since I knew the materiel, let’s say, was very unimportant, I turned away from this idea and decided to take new car, albeit a budget one. Among the inexpensive foreign cars, I liked the Renault Logan. What I liked: large trunk, ground clearance, spacious and neatly assembled interior, clear operation of keys and levers. I really liked the comfortable, elastic seats. The interior plastics are hard, but I don't see that as a drawback.

The engine was selected. 1.6 (1.4 according to reviews - well, very vegetable) Expression equipment, without air conditioning and ABS, with one airbag. From the factory there was engine protection, the only conveniences were power steering, central locking and electric front windows. It took 3 months to wait for the car, but it was even delivered a couple of weeks earlier. When the car arrived, I learned an interesting thing - the cost of the car increased by 9 thousand. I read the fine print in the contract - it turned out that the price has the right to change. It's disgusting, of course, but you can't really complain about it. Total paid 315t.r. Later, seat covers, a radio and acoustics were installed in the doors (there was “audio preparation” from the factory - wires to the radio and in the front doors). I installed it with the help of a friend, an experienced vazovod. I purchased an alarm and limit switches for the rear doors (ordered from Exist) - simple plastic plugs were installed from the factory. I installed the alarm at a service center (not the dealer) so as not to void the warranty.

It’s been four years and 51 thousand kilometers now. Where we visited during this time: the Black Sea, Croatia - three times, Estonia - Latvia - Lithuania, Finland - many times, Belarus - many times. I am serviced by official dealer. When I was doing TO-2 and TO-3, they asked the question: Have the pads been changed recently? I haven’t changed it yet because it’s mostly driven on highways and I rarely have to brake.

The car is reliable and unpretentious. Gasoline in the CIS is 92, in Europe 95. It seems that Logan drives better on 92. When you fill up with 95 in Europe, you initially feel a slight increase in traction, but not for long. But when you fill up with 92 after Europe, you immediately feel that you are driving. Twice, and for some reason specifically in Croatia, an interesting effect was observed. About an hour after starting to move on a not very steep mountain serpentine road, the engine begins to chirp like sewing machine and is not gaining momentum. It's like there's no gas flowing. The tank is about half full of gasoline. I open the gas tank cap. You hear a good sound of the vacuum filling, and then everything becomes normal.

The choice fell clearly on Renault Logan, and his wife’s brother, with whom they later chose him, advised him. My wife’s brother himself works at the car market, these are already details :-), We chose it exclusively in dark gray color (almost black), I wouldn’t drive anything else on principle. We find the 2008 model, mileage 21,000 km. PTF, air conditioning, engine 1.6l.87l.s. Winter tires, the owner says that it is not broken, not painted. My brother takes out a device that determines the thickness of the coating, we check - everything is confirmed, we look under the hood and exactly two oil changes according to the marks. Everything is fine, let's take it! First impressions are great! The suspension is excellent, the engine is revving, the interior is spacious and what a room to boot, the heater heats up to 5+, the interior warms up in one fell swoop, the windows don’t sweat in the winter. Hydrach, hurray! My wife is happy, I'm happy.

I sold my VAZ 2114 2004. I took out a loan from a bank, the amount was large for me - 300 wooden ones, plus the proceeds from the sale of Vazik. Total 450 thousand, plus 20 thousand could be added by relatives. The city is small, the salaries are low, the roads are ruined (at the moment they have been faked). For a family of 4, two adults and two children, we needed a strong, reliable car drive mainly around the city and rarely on the highway. The choice is huge, for that amount you could get a bunch of options (mostly used and a few options from new cars). Of the VAZs, I only considered the Kalina. After weighing all the pros and cons, I decided to buy a one-year-old Renault Logan. I regretted spending money on a new car, since the price tag of a new car is currently 450 thousand, and the wait is 3 months. I’m very glad that I didn’t take a new one, but took a little used one. Logan’s appearance suited me quite well, but only phase 2. I found an ad and called him. I came to look.

The car was ideal, not smoked, not blown, not damaged 100% (looked at with specialists), mileage 11,900, under warranty. It was sold by some colonel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to him, he bought the car for his son, but he didn’t drive, saying his son didn’t like the car... “Buy me another one, dad.” But there was one thing on his part: he had to wait another week. Well, I think it’s a shame, this polkan is kind of muddy. “I won’t sell it right away,” he says, “Wait a week.” What kind of troubles he had, I still don’t understand. Before that, he mentioned to me that he has a second car like this, the same color, the same numbers, but the year is 2010. Then I thought, no matter what happens, someone will sell me credit car. Having called the car dealership where these cars were purchased, they provided me with information that the 2010 car is pledged to the bank, and the bank is handing over the title. And the second car is 2011. (my future) was purchased for cash. Thanks, of course, to the car dealership that provided me with the VIN codes for the bodies of these cars; you never know what could happen. The fears were in vain. But it's better to be safe. A week later the colonel called and said come and pick it up.

So I am the owner of a Renault of our production. I didn’t expect anything so foreign from Logan, since I read and watched a lot about it. For some reason there were no emotions after the purchase. The feeling of the car that I had before. The doors open a little hard (almost new). Both the rear and front ones close normally - with the same force. Many people complain about the rear doors that they don’t close well. When the doors are closed, there is a slight ringing throughout the body, since there are no sound insulation materials in the logon. Just on engine compartment incomprehensible garbage and polystyrene foam. Landing for driver's seat high, like in a mini jeep (after the vase). I am comfortable. Excellent visibility forward and to the sides thanks to high roof. Rear visibility is poor. Especially parking in reverse, the high rear and rounded shapes of the rear fenders tend to break the rear bumper. In the future I will install parking sensors, but now I try not to drive there and open the door to control the parking process.

Renault Logan- a car that has many obvious advantages and is used by millions of people around the world. But despite all the impeccability, Logan has some weak points.   • Uneven wear of the front brake pads.

Inaccurate information - I drove 40,000 km in Logan, the weak point is the crankshaft seal, front, rear, left inner drive boot. Bearings with a mileage of 73,000 are still good, I also don’t agree with the rest.

Breaking the wiring of the horn button on the left steering column switch is a common failure. And not only not in Logan, but also in other Renaults where the same unit is found.

I didn’t even change it under warranty - I just turned it off. At 45 thousand, the windshield cracked, and it cracked not from a stone hitting it, but from under the left wiper - a crack appeared. Well, light bulbs burn out everywhere and always. Yes, the gas pedal began to sink after about half a year, I was terribly scared))). And the first serious breakdown happened at 75 thousand, the timing belt broke. Result - the valves are bent - Repair - 16 thousand. And so it’s normal. The suspension is excellent, the consumables for oils and filters are very small, and I change everything myself. I forgot. At the moment, almost all the backlighting of the front panel buttons has burned out - only the backlight of the right window lifter remains, the rest does not light up, but replacing all these buttons is quite expensive. So I don’t see the point in changing it. Good car. Anything is better than our Vedro-Vaz.
