Before mounting the Faroomyvator (hereinafter referred to as the FD), you must come up with the location of the switching button. Included with the FD comes the button that its external design, in my deep conviction, does not correspond to our car. In addition, I absolutely do not want to cut the dashboard to install this button.

In the left side dashboard Our car has a block consisting of two buttons (turn on the front and rear fog lights), Plugs (instead of the cruise control button, which we did not have it) and the storage gap for plastic cards.

I decided that it would be very convenient to include the FD, if it was possible to use the very "excess" button of the non-existent cruise control. So in the end and did.

Fine flat screwdriver neatly (you can start from the left nizhny Angle) We submit the entire block. And take it out. The two-working buttons are suitable for the wiring harnesses that we disconnect - the benefit there there are plugs. Connectors, by the way, are painted in different colors (white and yellow) - therefore, it will be impossible to confuse them with reverse installation.

Shot block we carry out home and start work. Remove the upper plug by roasting its locking petals on the back of the block. The housing and the outer outer ring of the attached bundle of the buttons are slightly calculated on the sharpener (you can use the file) so that the button can be inserted from the outside in the "hole" left by the removed cap.

As a result, the FD button was installed in the block and fixed by molten (and frozen, of course) polyethylene from the adhesive gun.

The thought was like - the FO button is inside, and the key is located above it, which clicks on this button. And the key to this should serve the same plug. But ... To use the plug in this capacity, it would have to (plug) to smite - that is, cut off from it rear partwhich it is attached in the block. Observing the principle "I am not harmful!", I went to another way, namely, made a duplicate plug, sings him.

To perform the operation, we will need: any epoxy putty (sold in "Auto parts", from 80 to 250 rubles per bank depending on the volume and manufacturer) and building gypsum (alabaster), which can be purchased on any construction market (bag 3 kg is worth order 70 rubles). In addition, it will be necessary to prepare the mixtures.

We take a suitable container and knead the alabaster in it - to the consistency of the good village sour cream (the one in which the "spoon is worth"). Shawk tank left-right until the surface of the mixture becomes smooth and horizontal.

Then press the removed plug into the surface (you can pre-lubricate it with oil or vaseline so as not to stick to the alabaster) - the front part down. In this case, it is necessary to achieve such a position so that the rear surface of the "key" part of the plug was strictly horizontal and coincided with the surface of the alabaster.

We are waiting for the soaring alabasra (20 minutes). Gently, in the direction strictly up, so as not to destroy our formal shape, take out the plug. We wash it out of lubrication and put it in the "long-range box" to the best times.

Then we prepare the putty (prevent it with a hardener with the existing bundle).


It should be noted that the "lifetime" of a high-quality epoxy putty is just 5-7 minutes - then it becomes very viscous. Pour putty in the gypsum shape and remove from the surface of the surplus. 20 minutes - and putty froze. We throw it out of alabaster shape, paint black paint (you can still cover with varnish). We got the key for our button. Of course, the key looks outwardly different from the original plug (rougher, or something) - but calm themselves to the fact that it did not have to spoil the staff part of the car.

From the reverse side of the freshly baked key (in the left half), blurred (another word not to pick up) with a drop of liquid polyethylene from the adhesive pistol. After frozen - more. Here such a goal is persecuted: taking into account the fact that the key will press the button with its right part, on the left part it is necessary to create a "pillow" of the same thickness as the protruding part of the button - in order for the key in the unnecessary position "sitting, as it should.".

After that, I flip now on the right side of the key with a small drop of polyethylene and quickly (until the polyethylene is not frozen) we put the key to the place - so that it is adjusted to the Mentioned polyethylene droplet to the FD button. In general, I got the first time.


The following pre-operation, which can also (and necessary), should be done in the home (in the sense of warm and dry) conditions - this is the fixing of the pump motor on the tank. The fact is that due to the inconsistencies of the standards, a hole under the pump is not suitable for our pump (our pump is larger and has a thicker intricate fitting). And on the housing of the tank of the tank, for which the motor is mounted, on the contrary - are located so that our motor is hanging in them. Therefore, we serve the fence hole in the tank to a diameter of 15-16 mm, send the sealing ring from the FD kit and insert the motor-pump meter. To prevent possible leaks, the edge of the cuff is recommended immediately before inserting into the hole to wash the sealant layer. The motor housing is fixed in a tank niche with drops of molten polyethylene from the adhesive gun, causing these drops onto regular tank fasteners.


Another small one preparatory operation - Advanced enclosures. In the photo, when the nozzle is turned into a profile, it is clearly noticeable that the profile of the nozzle ends from below the sharp fracture. For our bumper, this fracture is not needed, and the nozzle body needs to be modified (a file or even a sharp knife) so that the fracture is not.

Procedure (on points):

1) Open the hood.

2) Unscrew 4 self-pressing, fastening the decorative radiator grille. They are located on the top edge of this decorative lattice.

3) Gently twisted the grid with a small amplitude in the direction "Up-down" (achieving removal from two latches, holding the grille at the bottom of the right and left), remove it in the direction "forward along the car". Immediately after removing, pulling these two latches from the car body (they are easily removed after turning 90º) and insert them into response spaces on the removed radiator grille (should be up on the type "as if it was").

4) O. two two bolts (from above) and two nuts (front) on each block headlamp and remove alternately block headlights along with sub-battles "cilia" in the direction "Forward along the car". When removing, reflect two electrical discs on each block headla. Headlights from "Ciller" not separated!

5) Unscrew the bolt with a puck, fastening the filling throat of the regular tank of the glass wool, and then carefully remove the neck. This operation is needed to create the required volume of workspace.

6) In the cleared workspace, we see (if you look from above) with a pin, on which the terminal is screwed with a "mass" from the battery, and next to it (ahead, if you argue along the movement of the car) - two holes. These holes are threaded (under the thread M6) - and it is them that we use them for fastening the Tank FD. One bolt M6 is visible in the photo, which I screwed in a hole for sample to get into the hole to get into terms of compatibility.


7) The principle of fastening - the tank is hanging on its "native" plate, and this plate itself is three bolts M5 with nuts brings to our homemade bracket. The bracket, in turn, is attached to the car body with bolts M6 (turnkey size 10 mm) in those mentioned above (see paragraph 6) of the holes.



8) I do not bring any sizes of the bracket, because everything was noted, measured and cut off at the place. I will only say that the bracket is bent the letter "g". And so that the installed bracket does not scratch the car housing, I glued down to it several bilateral scotch strips (you can also use leaf rubber, but I took what was at hand). Thus, our tank FO is located on the left side of the car, in height - somewhere at the level of the tank of the glasswater.

9) Electrical connections (in a part concerning) were performed as follows: two minus terminals for one of the bracket mounting bolts, and plus terminal - under the M6 \u200b\u200bnut in the fuse block motor compartment (The photo shows the "Lacetti" block, because I forgot to take a picture of this business -but we have almost the same). 10) Now the most exciting and scary - installing nozzles. Scary - because you need to drill a bumper (drilled not there - change the bumper). Manufacturers of the Faromywner suggest that the nozzles housing will be brought by self-drawing from the inside of the bumper lining. In our case, this can be done only by completely removing the bumper assembly, and then removing the lining from it. Naturally, in our handicraft conditions, this operation is almost impossible - among other things, we are also limited in time, because our task is to return home on a good car by the end of the day. Given just what we choose alternative option - Self-tapping screws will score from above in the nozzles housing, fastening in the bumper overlay.

11) Place the holes under the nozzle fittings. We perform holes, measuring left and right from cutting overlap under a number of 215 millimeters. In the altitude, the holes should be located so that the nozzle body is as tightly "sat down" on the bumper. In general, a dead seven times - one cut (or rather - drilled). Drill the holes with a drill ("crown" or "pen) with a diameter of 15 or 16 mm strictly perpendicular to the surface of the bumper.


12) Drilling holes, we clean the space under them from the foam (our task is to skip vertically down, parallel to the front surface of the bumper power beam, rubber nozzle hoses). In addition, using a round file or a drill with an arched drill with a diameter of 6-8 mm, we slightly expand the drilled holes (giving them a non-circular shape) so that through them it is possible to miss not only a round hose, but also a clamp fastening it on the nozzle fittings.

13) Having to mock the bumper, we skip down the hose in advance to the ads. Wherein one should take into account two important points: First, the caps of the screws attached in the kit may be too large diameter, and it can prevent the installation of a decorative nozzle cap; Secondly, the lower selflessness should not be too long, for it can pierce the hose, put on the fitting.


14) we caulate between the radiator and the bumper three end of the hose (one from the pump and two from the nozzles) and wear them on the appropriate (see the installation scheme attached in the FD kit) of the tonite fittings with a check valve from the FD kit. After that, the hoses are fastened to the elements of the design of the car by kapron screeds.

15) We extend (increasing) the Wire of the FD switching button (it is not clear why the FD manufacturers, knowing for sure that the FD switch button will be installed in the cabin, left such a short "stub").

16) stretch the Wire of the FD button into the cabin (how to do it, is described in my article on the installation of front parking sensors (/ Publ / 1-1-0-46), starting with paragraph 17).

17) Push the end of this wire into a flat terminal- "Mom" and connect this terminal to the FD button. We connect the second terminal to the wire on which the +12 V appears when the ignition is turned on.

18) We put the shot blocks (and, and the right header can already be finally fixed - we will not remove it anymore - and the left is just so temporarily). Be sure to close the hood, for now there will be a big fountain.

19) Pour a little water into the tank in the tank (as access to the tank neck is very difficult, then we use a screwdriver - for example, a metal pipe) and check the performance. If necessary, adjust the direction of the jets of the nozzles available in the FD key. The FD should work with the ignition on - comply with the remaining conditions (for example, the Middle Light included, the operation of the washer windshield etc.) we did not undertake.

20) if everything is in order, you can take again left Far And proceed to creating a fuel tank of the FD, for without it, pour the tank with water is a great art.

21) put the bulk of the tank of the glasswater tank in place.

22) Remove the tank cover and drill in it with a crown or feathery drill a large hole, the diameter of which should approximately coincide with the outer diameter of the narrow part of the corrugations. That is, the thought is understandable - the corrugated pipe should sit in the tank cover so as not to pop up from there, and at the same time freely in this hole.

23) Tinging the pipe into the lid (we do there for loyalty 4-5 corrugations rings) and screw the cover to the tank. We cut off the surplus of the pipe so that the upper cutter of the pipe (and the neck should still be at the throat under the throat) was at the level of the chip of the tank of the glasswater.

24) Again, we unscrew the tank cover of the FD and remove it along with the bulk tube. From the canister with a liquid (or, more convenient, from under the liquid) of the glass woolrometer, we cut a neck under the cover with carvings. This neck is speculating to our corrugated pipe and glue the molten polyethylene from the adhesive gun. The pistol should warm very well - so that its polyethylene at the same time melted also the material of the pipe and neck. And so that all this qualitatively welded into a single whole.

25) We put the finished pipe in place, hanging onto the tank cover. The top of the pipe is attached by the capronic tie to the neck of the glass wool tank. Now we have an almost professionally made a tank neck neck with a lid on a thread.
