Briefly about the first impressions about Hankook Winter IPIKE RS2 W429. Once again, weather forecasters threw me with snow))). I decided that I would no longer wait and put the rubber in advance.
Start: Balancing was not bad - at the level of tires that are more expensive and are considered premium. It swung while warm and asphalt 2.3, so that the car is not a strong chill on a plate. From what it is probably worth paying attention to: the side shoulder on the tire is more likely summer than winter. In all my previous tires, this element was obviously more pronounced. Near the car in Goodyear Ultragrip Ice Arctic - here there is a shoulder so shoulder, even though the border pieces are cut off))). But how will real life Winter will show already. Although there is there one moment about which I do not want to say in advance until I do not check in practice.
Moment 2: After installing on the disk and pumping the tire, I had the impression that the grooves between the checkers became even wider. (Maybe I drive ...) As a result, the tire looks already and does not even chibly urban. Large checkers and deep large ditches between them. It was not exactly one of the previous tires of such comprehension.
Moment 3: Noise from tires. Here I was pleasantly surprised at speeds up to 70. No longer tried in the city yet. 190 small spikes were quieter of many tires where 130 spikes. From the latter, I remember - in my opinion, it is exactly quieter than Michelin X-Ice North 2 and Nokian Hakkapelitta 7. And about the same level with Michelin X-Ice North 1.
Moment 4: brakes, overclocking and handling. In this weather, well, rightly slippery when starting. A couple of first time I even crawled along asphalt by pressing gas as usual on summer rubber (Naturally, no sneaker in the floor is not talking). Then I went carefully. The brakes really did not understand, because it slowed down neatly. And yes, yes ... The keet again came to my life))). Although I do not know not one good winter tire (I do not take the calculation in the calculation) which would be in the plus temperature and on dry asphalt look like a summer behavior. Swim the car on them, but justice for the sake of for nothing more than other winter tires. The only thing I didn't like it yet: it's a taxiing on very small speeds. When reversal and turns at right angles, the rubber strongly slides like when starting from the place. With increasing speed, the situation becomes better. Apparently, at a minimum, dry asphalt and a confident plus on the street is not her topic at all. Again, there were no such pronounced effect on all previous tires. For the sake of justice, it should be noted that in tire tests, she showed that on the asphalt she leaves much to be desired. But not for such as conditions today I bought it.
