It would be nice if they were given at once, if the machine is available, but still waited for a week of PTS. Prevented the box - the mechanics of the six-speed - this is something. I do not digest the machine guns, but there is the same with a machine gun who does not know how to contact the box. Soul became my first new (in the sense of the cabin) machine. Before that it was: Muscovite IZH21251, Daewo Sens, Chevrole Aveo, Forester 2007, Outback 2005. By the way, Torik with the manual transmission did not break almost at all, but, damn, he jerked me to replace him with an outback with automatic transmission - that's where it all started))).

Now closer to business. Choosing the car, went over the following options: Octavia 1,8stsi DSG, GOLF 1.4 TSI DSG, Lancer 1.6 automatic transmission, Tuxon 2.0, Suzuki SX4, Nissan Note 1.6, C4 citron, pyzh 307. The Kia brand did not consider first in principle. The French auto industry disappeared immediately - everything is beautiful and good, but, Sceuko, does not go and all. As people on our tracks with one strip in each direction they move to them - the mind is incomprehensible, the dynamics of acceleration is absent in principle. Well, after Subarie, there is a very low-fat clearance of them)). Lancer did not cause any emotions, the car is like a car, but those 25 Tuys, which was asked for him, clearly did not cost. Nissan Nout - the appearance is not for me, sitting in it not very comfortable (height 198), and the automatic 4-mortar in our time is no longer Comilfo (although, probably reliable, xs). Tushkan pleased with a low price and some "SUV", but disappeared the terrible quality of the cabin, an ancient blunt voracious machine and the inability to ignite normally at the driver's seat (adjusting the seat up-down at that time was already absent in any grades). Little crossovers of such a format we have already collected together, but it was quite a long time ago - almost three years ago. Since then, the interest of buyers to such a technique is not fightened at all, but the segment itself has changed slightly: new players have appeared, and some old-timers updated. So we decided to once again collect the team of rivals to find out which of them cooler. Criteria for the choice of purely urban: extremely compact dimensions, front actuator and "automatic". As a result, a whole quartet accumulated under the windows of the editorial office.

Kia Soul. This comrade recently survived the restyling and acquired new power units, including a 132-strong motor of 1.6 liters with direct fuel injection, a 6-speed "automatic" works in a pair. Just such a version we took for our test drive.

Nissan Juke. The car is well known. Some time ago, the crossover left russian marketBut this summer suddenly returned - albeit with a smaller variety of modifications, but with additional equipment and advanced personalization capabilities in the form of all colorful decorations. All machines are sold only with a 1.6-liter engine (117 forces) and variator.

Suzuki Vitara. Now the most popular model of the Japanese company in our comparative races has never participated. This is the only car in our quartet, which can be bought with a full drive. But for comparison, we chose the front-wheel drive version with a basic engine 1.6 (117 hp) and a 6-speed "automatic".

PEUGEOT 2008. Recent restyling made the appearance of the car and brought a new three-cylinder turbo engine 1.2 liters with a 6-speed "automatic" (before was the hopeless 1,6-liter engine and "four proto").

In general, the company gotten decent. Let's see which of them will be able to die more than others.



The first Soul appeared in 2009 and was built on the Hyundai-Kia PB platform - that very much that Kia Venga's asymmetric hatchback was based on Hyundai Veloster.. The appearance of "Sokula" was preceded by a whole set of three concepts - Burner, Diva and Searcher - they decided to infect the public a year before the birth of the serial car.

The current "Dushka" refers to the second generation - his debut took place at the New York Motor Show in March 2013. The car was adjusted a new, more adult platform, overall with Ceed and Cerato. And last year the car survived restyling.

Have you noticed that I try to avoid the term "crossover"? All correctly, because the road clearance is 150 mm and the absence of a full drive does not allow it to be counted it to the face of parquets. Hatchback increased passibility? Already closer. But there is no such class in the automotive nature, besides, Koreans insist in every way that this is the crossover. It is easier to agree to argue.


Before restyling, it was possible to buy a diesel soul, but now this version of the model range mysteriously disappeared. But gasoline power units broke up - Give God! Two 1,6-liter motor with a capacity of 124 or 132 forces (last with direct injection of fuel), a 204-strong turbo engine of the same volume for a GT version and a two-liter unit with a capacity of 150 forces from the older Sportage crossover is available. "Mechanics" only in the basic version, all other modifications are equipped with 6-speed "automata", and Soul GT has a 7-speed "robot" DCT.

Appearance from "Sokula" is spectacular. Korean from those machines that can be loved by their eyes and buy exclusively from aesthetic considerations. Bright colors, two-color coloring - great when such machines appear on the streets. Eye rejoices! And the legs sadness: the thresholds are quickly dumping and willingly divide mud with jeans. And Kia is the only quartet deprived of plastic protection of the wheeled arches.


The loading height of the trunk is Velika - "Peugeot" and "Suzuki" in this sense is humane. But the freight branch itself is too modest, although under the flooring there was a rather roomy subfield divided into sections. And even lower there was a place for a date. The trunk may annex part of the cabin, and this opportunity to the owner of the Korean car will have to use quite often. But no more than the "jukod".

But the rear row is unexpectedly good for such a small car. The central tunnel atrophied, therefore you can even try to sit in the threesome. And two passengers are generally good: and the planting process is not overshadowed, and the place is plenty - both in the legs and head. There is heated seats and a central armrest - in general, a complete set of amenities.

The steering wheel is adjustable in sufficient bands, and in general, ergonomics does not cause questions - all in their places. The lack of visibility through the intra-alone mirror (with autocessing, by the way) "KIA" compensates for large outer mirrors and a good rear-view chamber.

The interior of Soul is hardly the best in the class! At least, his today's rivals are far away - both in style and according to the quality of execution. Materials are excellent, all that is necessary is heated, the steering wheel is convenient - in general, solid lept. In addition to the outlet at 12V, there is a pair of USB connectors - one on the central console, the second in the box-armrest. The backlight in the visors, the branch for points - everything was provided for Koreans. And even about the decorative illumination of the interior, which can change the colors, performing the function of light vehicles, the creators of "coil" have not forgotten. Healthy!

The multimedia system was once modern, but now it is already slightly outdated - first of all because of the graphics. But everything works quite quickly, although the control of the tuner and input to the memory of the radio stations could be more logical. The navigation is generally acceptable, much more that most of the "coils" are sold without it.

The dynamics of acceleration with a 1.6-liter engine does not cause special emotions, although it fully matches expectations. And yet the motor is noisy, especially with active actions. The box works more than adequately - thank you very much.



The first thing that the driver attracts is the ultralight steering wheel. He, of course, is empty, but it does not cause problems. Handling without special delights, but rather vigorous: Turns are not interesting. But - exactly as long as the road is smooth: as soon as they appear on the asphalt, Kia is accepted to jump on them, losing all columns. And discomfort begins to test not only the driver, but also passengers - especially in the back row. In general, from the point of view of the smoothness of the stroke Soul - a clear outsider. But noise insulation in the standard motion modes is more than worthy - at least.

Patency - not about Kia Soul. In principle, this can be fully said about his rivals. The rear swell is small, but the bumper hangs at the front. Yes, and 153 mm of the road lumen is a fiasco, bro!



Debut new compact crossoverBuilt on a common platform with Hatchback Micra and the compacttwon Note, came to the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 2010. However, a year before that, "Nissanovsky" managed to light up Qazana's concept, on which the Japanese safely rolled out the design future car. And already in 2011, Juke got to Russia - the truth, as usual, not fully: the "Renicious" diesel k9k remained the lot of European buyers. We sold modifications with 1,6-liter gasoline engines, the basic versions without boosting (117 hp) assumed the front actuator in combination with the "mechanics" or "variator". Turbo (190 forces) with front-wheel drive could be taken "on hand", and the all-wheel drive version meant an exceptionally variator.

After restyling, 2014, Dzhuka, in addition to some outdoor changes, there was a new turbo engine 1.2 liter, however, the crossover was not supplied to Russia. And a year and a half ago, the car disappeared from sale at all. And only now Juke returned to our market - with a single motor and variator.

By the way, in China, you can buy a premium version of "Juka", which is called Infiniti ESQ. At the same time, in the most subway model, the model is not produced: crossovers are available only in Japan, Indonesia and the United Kingdom. We sell cars from the English Sunderland.


About the appearance of "Juku" argue from the very moment of the appearance of this crossover. The benefit of arguing is about what: the design is really ambiguous. But it is quite definitely possible to say that it is better to stand out against the background of other machines than to merge with the total mass. So I welcome the "Jucin" nonconformism! And with bright colored accents that accompany some sets, Juke looks extremely bold. No matter how regrettable, the appearance of "Nissan" was not the best way to reflected on its consumer qualities: attempts to instill a "jewelry" appearance turned out to be bought by the rear doors and a tiny trunk.

The cargo compartment from "Juka" is not only modest, but not too comfortable. As in Kia, there is a double floor here, but the distance under the upper flooring is small, there is little fit. And at the bottom there is a dance. The back of the sofa is in favor of the trunk in parts, allowing you to transport more or less large items.


But large passengers in the back row are extremely undesirable. Juke is not too hospitalized at all: and break on the sofa, wiping the wheeled arches, not easy, and is uncomfortable there. Light through small windows passes a little, the ceiling is low, the front armchairs is close. And no additional amenities are provided - some inconveniences.

Rather behind the wheel! There is already a completely different mood. Inspired! Emotions Specifies Design: Painted in bright yellow color Central tunnel builds a pot from a motorcycle. From the point of view of JUKE visibility, it is clearly not a champion. In the basic versions there is no rear view camera, but in the top - immediately a circular review, pretty stupid, however: the picture quality leaves much better. The view of the salon mirror is limited by a small end of the trunk door, and the outer mirrors are small, but inconvenience do not cause. But the monitoring system of dead zones is clearly unlisted. Inside there is not enough rear parking sensors, but it does not have it in any of the packages.

The interior is pretty, although in terms of the quality of Materials "Juk" left the "Suzuki". The devices are good, but the scroll screen is too prosepotky. In our version, the steering wheel was a pleasant perforated leather, and the leather furniture looks neat. But in the heat I would prefer to sit on the "rag". Climate control unit is doubled: by pressing the D-MODE button, you can turn it into the control panel of the machine settings, with various bonuses like the longitudinal and transverse acceleration recorder. In this case, the inscriptions on the buttons are funny. That's just to attach a smartphone nowhere.

The touchscreen display of the multimedia system is poor graphics, although quite functional - even with navigation. It is easy to understand the menu, and it is quite convenient to use the interface. The main thing is the volume control knob, and it is more convenient than the buttons on the steering wheel, which can also be controlled by music.

"Jook" demonstrates a convincing overclocking dynamics. The variator works smartly, however, with intensive acceleration fixes the motor at high speed, translating a monotonous hum of the power unit into the salon. But in spite of everything to go to "Nissan" somehow joyful: he fun running forward, submissively following the gas pedal. Yes, and the crossover rulits itself very much: it is immediately felt that the engineers worked over manageability as it should. On the steering wheel, the car reacts vividly, in turnings it is tight - in general, it is easily carried out.



By smoothness, the JUKE move is far from the standard - however, it is not an outsider. Yes, the suspension is quite detailed - but not annoying hard. By irregularities, the crossover runs easily, demonstrating excellent energy intensity. As for noise insulation, there is nothing to say about it: normal, no more than that. Solts the engine, it is undoubtedly. Otherwise, there is no reason for the praise, nor for criticism.

Exam for Patency - not for "Jukka". Four-wheel drive is possible, but not available in Russia. Without it, it is necessary to calculate only on geometry. But she, by the way, is breeding: short sinks and decent road clearance 180 mm will allow a small typewriter to drive there, where "Kia" and "Peugeot" are stuck. The main thing is not to pour the variator.



The predecessor in 2008 was not, although it is believed that this car can be viewed as a replacement for the compact Wagon PEUGEOT 207 SW, which, by the way, was an off-road version of Outdoor (not sold in Russia). Actually, from the "Wagon" 2008 left: and his clearance is small, and there is no full drive. From the Crossover from the "Frenchman" only design. However, there are almost all urban "parcktails" - as you can see, competitors are no better.

Peugeot 2008, built on the Hatchback Platform 208, was the world in the spring of 2013 in Geneva, and in a year the car reached Russian dealers. The French prepared for the machine four power units, the basic prescribed a 3-cylinder gasoline engine 1.2 liters with a capacity of 82 hp. Next step - 115-strong 1.6 liter engine. Plus a pair of 1.6 l diesel engines (92 or 115 forces). Subsequently, a gasoline 165-strong turbo engine 1.6 THP was added, which was installed on the Sport version.

Only the first two modifications were supplied to our edges: 1.2 with "mechanics" and 1.6 with "automatic". However, after a recent restyling of 2008, the range of power aggregates was revised, so now in Russia only one version is sold with a new turbo engine of 1.2 liters with a capacity of 110 forces in a pair with a 6-speed automatic activation (used only 4 steps). You do not have to dream about the full drive.


Is the Peugeot 2008? Perhaps yes. The appearance of him is quite placing, but rather neutral. Therefore, in terms of visual emotions, rather closer to Suzuki, rather than Kia with "Nissan". However, all this taste. And here is an objective reality: practical plastic around the perimeter, including on the lower edges of the doors. It is a pity that the latners are not able to protect the thresholds from dirt. Apparently, it is not in France (although I know for sure that it is not so).

It must be said that "pyness" seems the most passenger, although the road clearance has even wisely than "Sokula". Similar to that small wheels are completely increasing dimension.


And according to other parameters 2008 closer to cars. Here, let's say, the loading height of the trunk is minimal: only 620 mm. Like a hatchback! In terms of size and convenience, the "Peugeot" is a clear leader. And the rear row is excellent. But also passenger: landing is very low. Because of this, the knees are located higher than in other machines. But the ceiling at a respectful distance from the head. The sofa is flat almost entirely, so three passengers will sit fine - however, the one who will be in the center will have to be embraced by the tunnel legs. But its presence of strange - all-wheel drive versions in 2008 is not provided.

Ergonomics Peugeot is peculiar, but good. The steering wheel is very small, and the devices are highlighted - you look at them on top of the "Baranki". This is unusual, although quite convenient. The chair is perfectly integrated with sufficient side support. Adjustments are a bit, but they are enough to quickly take the optimal pose. And the most noticeable of the oddities is the handbrake. Rather, his lever, although the lever is difficult to call this thing. Another oddity is a heating wheel, which is located at the base of the chair. Total 110 forces? Three cylinders? I do not believe! Turbo magical power has endowed a 1,2-liter micromotor excellent overclocking dynamics. The set of speeds on the "Peugeot" is invariably cheerful, while the muffled sound of the engine almost does not produce its three-cylinder essence. In addition, she tries to please the driver of Aisin Aisin, who is famously moving all its six transmissions. Glitter!

Controllability? Also good: The steering wheel is transparent, the reactions are fast, minor rolls. "Wild" all maneuvers makes easily and ease. Selflessly. And this joy through a small steering wheel Large doses are transmitted to the driver.

The most amazing thing is that the smoothness turned out to be a reference! It seems that while I changed Kia on Peugeot, in Moscow once repaired all the roads. In the French crossover, I specifically dubbed in irregularities to dispel my doubts and finally make sure that the suspension is ready to dissolve most of the defects of asphalt. This is incredible! How did the creators of 2008 succeed? Riddle!



Against the background of flawless suspension, noise insulation does not seem to be failed. And here everything is fine: the turbo engine works quietly, as if somewhere in the distance, and from the road the car does not raise unnecessary sounds. "Peugeot", I love you!

Patency? Do you really find it? Well, then I will answer: 2008 - in essence, a car. The clearance is small, and in general, the geometry of the body does not contribute to to leave the asphalt. There is a wheel with different modes of operation of electronics on different road surfaces, but it will not pull the peugeot from the mud if you are simplicity of soulful dare to enjoy it. So I strongly recommend enjoying the French car on good roads.



When talking about "Vitar", the question always arises: what generation is this car? Looks like "Suzuki" almost modestly, but recognizable - designers awarded a crossover with a pleasant appearance. "Vitara" wants to be fashionable, with a pretty taste of exposing its optional two-color. Light angularity goes to this car, and in any case, the "Japanese" does not look boring. Protective black plastic ishing the machine from all sides and almost completely covers the rear bumper from below. Here are just the thresholds, like rivals, are not closed with doors and therefore there will be pants. It is curious that the "suzu" hood is held by gas springs, however, "stick-supporting" is not abolished. It is not clear why it is needed with such a situation.

In the trunk of "Vitara", imagine, also double bottom. What kind of trend is this? The upper floor can be placed slightly higher, comparable to a folded sofa back. But on the driver's seat, there is no bad way. Ergonomics are devoid of serious flaws: the desired settings are easily selected, sit comfortably, the steering wheel lies well in his hands. True, the skin that "Baranka" is trimmed is a bit rough, but for Suzuki, it's in order of things - as well as devoid of finishes a small glove box and a box-armrest between the seats.
