All the same, science and technology does not stand still. During the search, a lot of information was shoveled about different cars... The eye stopped on the Japanese Mazda 6, Toyota Camry, Nissan teana... But one fine day I got a call from a friend who was aware that I was looking for a car and offered a car at a reasonable price. This, in principle, was the fundamental factor in purchasing a car. Immediately began to collect information on the car. They don't write a lot of good things about them, but on the other hand, all modern cars are not devoid of any "sores". Let's go look. The car had a mileage of 70 because it was equipped with a 1.8 TFSI engine and a Multitronic variator transmission. Outwardly, I liked the car immediately. Very beautiful and stylish body lines. The car attracts the eye and stands out in the stream. There were no problems with the paintwork and we decided to move on to inspect the mechanical part. The chassis was in excellent condition. There were recommendations to replace all fluids, rollers and belt attachments, as well as timing chains, but this did not frighten, since being in my right mind, I understood that the car was not new and a certain amount of finance for such operations had been prepared in advance. Ride and decided to take. The car of course immediately made it clear that it is not at all like my previous cars. First of all, I was very pleased with the variator. The transmission is certainly not for everybody, many do not like the "trolleybus", but I am not one of them. The motor is very torquey and honestly fulfills its 160 forces, thanks to direct injection and the turbine. Overall, the engine spins very decently, even with a smooth CVT. After Mitsubishi suspension, of course it seemed to me quite stiff or even more elastic or something, but after entering the track, I realized that the softness of the Japanese was not needed. The car holds the road very well, especially on R18 wheels. Of course, the car is focused on good road surface and bumps are felt much stronger than on the Japanese, but at speed the car is much better controlled and does not sway. I liked the steering wheel with Servotronic very much. All the same, the Germans know how to bribe a client. The car salon keeps up with the times. Quite good standard acoustics from 8 speakers. The head unit supports SD cards and an AUX connector located in the armrest, which, in my opinion, is much more convenient than sticking out "collective farm" USBs. Everything is well assembled and fitted. Acceptable soundproofing. Very solid plastic, which cannot be compared with Japanese. True, I didn't really like the standard chairs. The sport version is much more comfortable, but the fabric of the upholstery is not bad. The regular Multifunction is complete nonsense. Whoever "used" will understand what I mean. It is extremely inconvenient to switch tracks on the go. Everything else is good. Now checkmate. part. On the recommendation of the workshop master, the timing chain and tensioner were replaced. The old chain was noticeably stretched. I also changed antifreeze, brakes, power steering fluid and automatic transmission. and brake pads round. From the global nothing else has changed. Later, the bypass valve of the N249 turbine was replaced with a membrane ruptured and the machine immediately reported it. On the advice of friends, a VAG Com cord was purchased, which saved a lot of time and money later. A little later, for preventive purposes, the VKG valve was replaced and fuel filter... Further, mostly current consumables. After the first winter, I noticed several cracks on the silent blocks of the front levers. Fortunately, they are sold separately and it was not difficult and costly to replace them. The steering shaft cross was also replaced. A common problem with many Audi. Suitable from the Japs and costs a penny. The steering wheel is like new again. Nothing else seems to bother me anymore. Overall happy with the car. Problems, if the current consumables can be called that, it is generally the same as for all cars closer to 100t. km. run, just for "yapov" parts are a little cheaper than for the Fritzes. Can't choose which mode to turn on? Don't worry, turn on Auto. Electronics itself will understand which mode is more suitable for a given situation, and will make an unmistakable choice. In any case, the Offroad mode turned on both when I decided to drive one wheel onto the curb, and at the moment when I was overcoming the section of the street with the asphalt removed. By the way, unlike the pilot of the A5 Coupe, the driver of the A4 Allroad should not be afraid of curbs: the lower bumper covers are at a sufficient height.
