Updated UAZ Patriot. UAZ Patriot has become “closer to the city”

09.12.2021

From October 1, 2014 official dealers UAZ began accepting applications for the updated Patriot SUV (2015-2016 model year), sales of which are scheduled to begin in November. The main difference between the new product and its predecessor is its refreshed appearance, but otherwise this car has not remained the same - it has changed for the better in almost all respects.

The exterior of the updated Patriot has moved towards modern design concepts, offering a more stylish appearance that gives the SUV a little nobility, allowing it to feel like it belongs in urban environments, i.e. The updated SUV is ready to fight for buyers with numerous crossovers that have flooded the Russian car market.

If we talk about specific transformations, we note a striking radiator grille with broken design lines, new headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights running lights, modernized bumpers, which are now attached not to the frame, but to the body (goodbye old gaps), and, of course, tail lights, slightly extending onto the sidewalls.

Other improvements include the addition of folding side mirrors, an integrated side step that does not reduce ground clearance, and a new spare wheel cover. The body of the UAZ Patriot has also undergone modernization. Now it has more rigid supports, reducing the amplitude of vibrations when making sharp maneuvers. In addition, from now on “Patriot” receives glued glazing, which improves not only the appearance of the car, but also the thermal and noise insulation characteristics of the interior.

The dimensions of the SUV for the 2015-2016 model year have remained virtually unchanged. The length of the car, without the spare wheel cover, is 4750 mm, and with the cover it increases to 4785 mm. The Patriot's wheelbase is 2760 mm. The width fits within the framework of 1900 mm, and the height is limited to 1910 mm (2005 mm taking into account the active antenna). Ground clearance (clearance) under the rear axle housing is 210 mm.

The curb weight of the SUV is 2125 or 2165 kg, depending on the type of engine.

The interior has hardly changed in appearance, but this is only at first glance. The new instrument panel has become noticeably more informative and has a trip computer display.
Instead of the previous Korean seats, UAZ engineers equipped the updated “Patriot” with domestic seats with a wider range of adjustment, an improved profile and high-quality lumbar support, available in top trim levels.

The new rear sofa has been moved 80 mm towards the stern, which has increased the space in the passengers' legs, as well as arranged two sleeping places - the backs of the front seats now fold out flush with the sofa cushion.

In addition, the interior of the updated Patriot received new system LED lighting, a new trunk curtain with hard edging, a multimedia system with built-in navigation and a 7-inch touch screen in the top-end equipment, as well as a 12-volt socket in the luggage compartment, the capacity of which remained at 700 liters.

Specifications. The line of engines has not been updated for 2015, but diesel engine has undergone a number of changes to improve performance at low speeds.

  • The ZMZ-40905 gasoline engine, which has 4 in-line cylinders with a displacement of 2.7 liters, remained unchanged. Its output is 128 hp. at 4600 rpm, and torque reaches a maximum of 209.7 Nm at 2500 rpm. WITH gasoline engine The SUV is capable of accelerating to a maximum speed of 150 km/h, reaching the first 100 km/h in about 20 seconds.
  • The ZMZ-51432 diesel engine has 4 cylinders with a displacement of 2.24 liters, a Common Rail fuel injection system and received a new Bosch turbine. Its maximum power is 113.5 hp. at 3500 rpm, and the peak torque occurs at around 270 Nm, available at 1800 - 2800 rpm. The diesel engine allows the Patriot to accelerate to 135 km/h maximum speed, while the starting jerk from 0 to 100 km/h takes about 22 seconds.

Both engines are combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, while main couple The gearbox receives different gear ratios: 4.11 for a gasoline engine and 4.625 for a diesel engine. As for fuel consumption, in the combined cycle and at an average speed of 90 km/h, the gasoline engine “eats” about 11.5 liters, and the diesel unit – 9.5 liters.

There aren't a lot of changes to the chassis. The SUV uses the same dependent suspension- spring on trailing arms at the front and spring at the rear, but from now on there is a stabilizer lateral stability It is installed not only at the front, but also at the rear, which allows you to significantly reduce body roll when cornering. In addition, the suspension UAZ Patriot'and was slightly reconfigured to improve comfort in the cabin, which should improve ride quality car on city streets.

As before, this SUV is equipped all-wheel drive Part-Time, rigidly connecting the front axle through a 2-speed Dymos transfer case with an electric control drive. At the same time, we note that from now on “Patriots” will be equipped with maintenance-free driveshafts, so the need to lubricate them every 10,000 km is a thing of the past.

The car received ventilated disc wheels brake mechanisms on the front wheels and classic drums on the rear. Besides, brake system equipped with a mechanical drive parking brake, an imported vacuum booster, as well as an ABS+EBD system in trim levels above the basic one. The rack and pinion steering mechanism of the SUV is equipped with a hydraulic booster.

Dimensions of UAZ Patriot dimensions of its modification in a pickup truck. Today we will tell and show you about all the features of the UAZ Patriot dimensions. For clarity, it was even possible to obtain official images with schematic linear dimensions the manufacturer himself. All this is just for our readers.

Overall dimensions of UAZ Patriot 2015 model year allowed us to maintain the unique geometric cross-country ability SUV. For the convenience of rear passengers, the rear sofa was moved 80 degrees deep into the trunk. Which has slightly decreased because of this and today is 1150 liters. If you fold down the rear seats on the new UAZ Patriot, then the volume increases to 2450 liters! With a short length, Patriot has quite high roof and a good width as a result, the internal space is quite large. And the angles of entry and exit at ground clearance at the lowest point 210 mm makes the vehicle's cross-country ability phenomenal. Don't forget about the wide possibilities of a suspension lift, installation of larger wheels and an even greater increase in ground clearance.

  • Length – 4750 mm (with casing on spare wheel 4785 mm)
  • Width – 1900 mm
  • Height – 1910 mm
  • Curb weight - 2125 kg (with diesel engine 2165 kg)
  • Gross weight – 2650 kg (with diesel engine 2690 kg)
  • Base, distance between front and rear axle – 2760 mm
  • Trunk volume – 1150 liters
  • Trunk volume with seats folded – 2450 liters
  • Load capacity – 525 kg
  • Tire size – 225/75 R16, 235/70 R16 or 245/60 R18
  • Ground clearance or ground clearance of UAZ Patriot - 210 mm

Dimensions of UAZ Patriot pickup differ from the dimensions of the 5-door Patriot modification. The UAZ pickup truck has a longer wheelbase and body length. As a result, with the same ground clearance, the rear approach angle is smaller, and the increased distance between the front and rear wheels negatively affects the geometric cross-country ability.

For that reason, the UAZ pickup truck is very good in terms of carrying capacity. According to the manufacturer, you can carry up to 725 kg, but no one bothers you to strengthen the springs. The loading platform can be equipped from the factory, for an additional fee, with an awning, kung or trunk lid to match the color of the entire car.

  • Length – 5125 mm
  • Width – 1915 mm
  • Height – 1915 mm
  • Curb weight – from 2135 kg
  • Gross weight – 2860 kg (diesel 2940 kg)
  • Base, distance between front and rear axle – 3000 mm
  • Front track and rear wheels– 1600/1600 mm respectively
  • Body length – 1375 mm
  • Body width – 1265 mm
  • Side height – 635 mm
  • Fuel tank volume – 72 liters
  • Tire size – 225/75 R16 or 235/70 R16
  • Ground clearance Patriot pickup – 210 mm

Let’s say right away that the diesel version of the Patriot is heavier than the gasoline version of the SUV. The fairly spacious pickup body allows you to install a roomy kung for transporting very large cargo.

Thank you for taking the time to read this report about this (generally not bad) car: UAZ-Patriot, new, 2015 (February).

Since, for the last couple of decades, I have been using exclusively Japanese cars, you will not hear “patriotic” praises from me! Everything that I write below is my purely personal opinion, and I ask you to treat it with understanding! I also ask supporters and opponents of the domestic auto industry not to make a fuss in the thread! Let's respect each other's opinions!

Since the UAZ was not the first (or second) car purchased for the family, I will involuntarily compare it with another car I have: “MMC Pajero 4” 2012, which, in general, is fair in my opinion. Having similar configurations, dimensions, weight and engine displacement (2.7 vs 3.0), they can be called classmates without a stretch, despite various transmissions And price category.

So, the background of the purchase:

What can you do? Well, I love auto tourism! But since our region is remote and does not have a developed road network, then all travel in Kamchatka is closely connected with off-road transport. Last years, on the streets of our towns you can see a lot of prepared cars, from compact jeeps like Suzuki Jimny, to shift cars based on GAZ-66, Ural, Kamaz. There really is something to see in Kamchatka, therefore, especially in the summer months, this entire all-terrain community becomes more active. Some take tourists, others look for entertainment themselves. Having become interested in ATVs several years ago, I and a group of like-minded people visited many beautiful places Kamchatka region. But the ATV, in addition to its amazing cross-country ability, has one very big disadvantage. This is a problem in fording mountain rivers! In addition, it is problematic to go on a quad trip with a family, especially along an extreme route. Gradually the “quadband” shrank to two people, and driving became boring. But new familiar jeepers appeared...

In general, the question arose about purchasing a jeep within 600 thousand rubles, for trips into nature in the summer and for trouble-free driving on snowy winter days for my son, since his front-wheel drive Teana 2 is not the most the best remedy movement along the snow-covered hills of P-Kamchatsky. In the fall of 2014, I began a leisurely search. The emphasis in the search was on Prado and TLC 80 of the late 90s. The Kamchatka market, although it has the highest density of jeeps per capita in the country, can still be found good car in a small region, it turned out to be another task... Within the planned amount, there were copies that were “squeezed out” to zero. And the price for “live” ones started from 1 million rubles. (Yes! Don’t be surprised! These are almost twenty-year-old cars!) Moreover, the more complicated economic situation in November reduced the possibility of a successful purchase to almost nothing! Just at this time, I came across an article from the magazine “Behind the Wheel” about the restyling of the UAZ Patriot car. After reading reviews on the Internet, I realized that the manufacturer’s efforts almost cured the car of serious illnesses, leaving, however, a bunch of “childhood” diseases!

I’ll say right away: of course there were concerns, but I wasn’t very afraid to buy Russian car. From my own experience, I know that an almost nameless ATV from the Rybinsk plant (after skillfully carried out after-sales preparation) is capable of causing fewer problems in two years of hard use than a branded Kawasaki in six months. In addition, the huge number of “Pariots” on the roads indirectly indicated that the car was popular in the region, despite being spoiled by the reliable Japanese.

In general, I went to meet him at the car dealership. The cars there were still pre-styling, but they were all already sold. The manager offered a choice of only two available (already restyled) cars at a price of 815 thousand rubles, but with delivery in January 2015. Everything, due to the rush that had begun, had already been purchased. After sitting in the car, looking into all the cracks, I noted to myself that the impression was better than I expected. The seating is comfortable and spacious. The design as a whole is competent. I didn’t dare to sign an agreement right away, but called my son so that he would also come and see if he, with his tall stature, would be comfortable driving the Patriot. When the next day I arrived at the dealership with the money, all the cars had already been sold, and the next delivery was expected in March-April and at an as-yet-unknown price. This is how I ended up, in the blink of an eye, managing to lose several tens of thousands of rubles...

The manager called a couple of weeks later and pleased me with the news that I could come make an advance payment for the car if I agreed to pay for it... 870 thousand! They promised to release it in February and deliver it to Kamchatka in April. Since the deferred amount, in dollar terms, had already dropped below the plinth by that time, in mid-December, cursing, I went and signed an agreement for a gasoline, yellow-silver Patrick in the “Limited” configuration. With the remaining pennies, still at the old prices, I bought a Come Up 12000 winch and Nokian Hakkapelitta LT 265/75-16 studded tires on R16 wheels with an offset of ET 15. It’s so strange that I’ve never equipped my cars before - a year before the possible use by acquiring extras for a car that does not yet exist in nature)))

Months of waiting flew by... In the evenings I poked around on the Internet, smoking UAZ driver forums.

I'll start with the appearance.

Exterior: (my rating is 4 points on a five-point system).

As they say, there is no dispute about tastes, but I like its appearance, like the vast majority of people I know. In a word – a classic that never gets old! The view is spoiled only by the disproportionately small wheels. A comfortable wide footrest (more comfortable than the Pajero) allows you to stand with your entire foot. Although I would prefer the pre-restyling version of the running boards (you could jack them up in the mud). The quality of the painting is, to put it mildly, lousy! A clean car in the sun, if you look closely, looks spotty. This problem is only for silver cars and was noticed not only on my copy. Rather, the problem is in low-quality painting equipment or in the crookedness of factory painters. If you look along the side into the light, you can see that the entire tin is wavy. The lines of the body stampings are uneven and do not coincide with the lines of the doors. The gaps (except for 4 doors) seem to be even. I conclude: You cannot take a car assembled after New Year's holidays! (the plant did not work throughout January and in February, the workers clearly came out with a headache...)

Interior: (solid four)

What I have the least complaints about is the interior. It is really made quite well and with good materials (of course, adjusted for the price category of the car!) The instrument panel and the front panel as a whole look quite modern and do not cause rejection. The seats are comfortable, with fairly thick padding, equipped with moderate lateral support and adjustable lumbar support (driver's). The lumbar support either doesn’t work at all, or it works in such a way that I don’t notice a difference when I turn the wheel. It is comfortable to sit with medium and tall height. There's a lot of space. The ease of entry is slightly spoiled by the narrow doorway and the lack of additional handles on the A-pillars. Well, if you have to put up with the first inconvenience, then I have already solved the second problem. At a disassembly site I bought used rear handles from a Toyota Surf and installed them on the windshield pillars. Getting into a fairly tall car has become more convenient! The driving position is high, so to speak “stool-like”. I couldn't find a steering wheel position that was comfortable for me. The steering wheel is adjustable in angle over a fairly large range, but this is not enough. The steering wheel's reach is not adjustable! If I move closer so that it would be convenient to press the pedals, the steering wheel is too close. I had to lean the back of the seat back a little like a car. Although, personally I would prefer a more upright position. Visibility forward and to the sides is excellent! Rearward visibility is worse here, but the rear view camera helps out. Having moved back, I find royal space for rear passengers. There is simply an indecent amount of space (it’s more cramped in the Padzherik and your feet won’t fit under the seat). True, the ease of landing again suffers due to the lack of additional handles. Over time I’ll install a Prado or an 80. Ride comfort in the back seat, unlike the space, is far from royal. This is due to the presence of a rather shaky spring suspension. In the front seats you feel more comfortable and as a passenger you feel like you are in a foreign car. The rear seats recline forward, but, alas, there is no flat surface in the luggage compartment! To top the problem, with the rear seats folded down it is difficult to close the side doors. The door trim rests against the folded backrest– an obvious ergonomic miscalculation! Under the seat there are small boxes for small items. The trunk is spacious and comfortable.

Engine: (Four plus)

I will not evaluate potential reliability - time will tell! Despite its 128 hp. With. The engine drives quite tolerably. In the city it allows you to start quite confidently from traffic lights and has good elasticity. You don't have to switch often. Confident acceleration begins after 1600-1800 rpm. On the track, the power is still a little lacking. The three-liter Padzherik drives more cheerfully, which is natural!

Checkpoint (Four)

Shifts are quite crisp. The picture is slightly spoiled by the location of the shift lever: When engaging third gear, your fingers stick into the climate panel, and when engaging fifth gear you have to fully extend your hand. The gear ratios of fourth and fifth gears are not very different. When driving over 100 km/h, you always want to engage sixth gear, which is not there.

Handling: (Three points).

No matter what the advertisement says, in my opinion, driving a UAZ in the city is a dubious pleasure. The steering wheel is a bit heavy. The handbrake is tight. The turning radius is greater than you expect. At first, when parking in the evenings in a cramped yard, I couldn’t park in the right place the first time after the Pajero. But the most unpleasant sensations come from driving on the highway. The car is prowling. At speed, driving around a suddenly appeared obstacle is simply dangerous! Patriot does not want to return to the original trajectory. It feels like you have a heavy trailer hanging on your tail. Perhaps, after checking the wheel alignment angles, the situation can be improved, but it will certainly not be possible to completely get rid of the shortcomings! The only positive thing I can say is that you quickly get used to the control features and begin to take them for granted.

There's not much to say about the brakes. At least bad...

Comfort: (Four minus)

As for driving comfort, the rear leaf spring suspension does not contribute to comfortable movement. The goat effect and all that... The contents of the trunk, when moving speed bumps, tend to jump to the ceiling. It goes through potholes and potholes quite comfortably. I haven’t tested it on a cross-country road yet, but I’m afraid that on serious off-road conditions it might shake the soul out of me... Otherwise, I’ll have to convert the spring suspension to a spring one (which is clearly not part of my plans for now).

As for the salon attributes to ensure comfort, everything is quite normal here. The air conditioner works, the power windows function. Multimedia center with rear view camera, Bluetooth and Navitell navigation. It's annoying that you have to remember to turn it off and on, because the ignition switch does not have a key position in ACC. However, I didn't like the sound of the head. There are no low frequencies at all. The speakers in the doors are very tiny. But it’s not easy to replace them with good ones, since the axis of the speakers does not coincide with the axis of the grill in the door trim. You'll have to bother making podiums, or moving the speakers in the doors with all the ensuing difficulties...

The soundproofing suited me. You can talk at speed without raising your voice. It seemed to me that the main noise comes from the engine and exhaust system from the trunk side.

Patrick has another awesome little thing in his arsenal, which you won’t find in every foreign car! This is glass with heating threads over the entire area. Very comfortable even in summer! Pajero nervously smokes to the side...

Fuel consumption: (???)

I confess, I didn’t take exact measurements! For the first hundreds of kilometers, Patrick consumed gasoline in some indecent quantities! Now everything seems to have returned to normal and subjectively, fuel consumption is no different from the Padzherik. I would also like to say something about the tanks: there are two of them (not lockable) of small volume. Until I started refueling myself, I realized how inconvenient it was. Instead of filling up 2.5-3 thousand at once, you have to visit the gas station twice as often, or carry a hose from side to side. Moreover, the compassionate neighbors at the gas station tell you with a smile: “Your tank is on the other side!”

Production culture, mistakes and malfunctions: (Two points)

This is the Achilles heel of the Patriot! Well, perhaps, I’ll start in order: The Jackie Chan light came on for the first time just a couple of kilometers after leaving the car dealership. A day later, it was accompanied by a “Check 4wd” light. After a couple of days, I noticed that fuel was not pumped from the left tank to the right. I sent my son to the authorities. They extinguished only the first one, because the second one went out on its own. The servicemen said something about rich mixture. The fuel pump was also repaired. “Check 4wd” has since come on and gone out several times, but it has not yet been possible to catch this moment for diagnosis!

A little later, the passenger door began to jam when opening and closing. I looked at the castle, and there was peeled off paint. It turns out that on the rack, the central bolt securing the lock bracket was unscrewed. I started checking on all the doors - all the bolts were not tightened!

I reached under the car with the keys - everything was fine there!

After some time, a creaking sound appeared in the rear of the cabin, which began to progress rapidly. The car began to creak like an unoiled cart, and so loudly that it became embarrassing to drive up to the house. Since the officials are not very close to me, I went to look for the source of the creaking myself. And along the way I found another mistake! I’m surprised that I didn’t immediately notice that the rear door support plate is not held on by two bolts as it should be, but by one. Moreover, it was clearly installed skewed. I unscrewed this bolt, and there... WOW! In the second hole there is a piece of either a tap or a drill sticking out! Most likely, the plate did not fall into place, and the “caring” hand of the Ulyanovsk worker straightened this place with a sledgehammer! So much so that the metal was deformed, and all the paint in the area was cracked. By now this place is already covered in rust. Let me return to the creaking: the forum of the site http://uazpatriot.ru helped me here. The reason is the creaking of the anti-stall stops. I unscrewed it to have a look. Indeed, it rubs metal on metal. The rivet that holds the rubber stop in place, for some reason??? sticks out more than the rubber band. I sharpened it with a grinder, glued it with rubber - just about twenty minutes and the squeak was gone.

The car, despite its crude design, is still worth the money. The closest branded competitor (in my opinion, this is “MMC Pajero Sport”) costs twice as much. But be prepared to roll up your sleeves and do something yourself sometimes. I categorically do not advise white collar workers and lazy people to buy!

My future plans:

The snorkel and Fender arrived. I'll install it one of these days.

Also in more distant plans:

1. replacing bumpers with power ones, because the current shells are no good.

2. Replacing the main pairs from 4.2 to 4.6.

3. Installing a lock in the rear axle.

4. Winch (already in stock, but waiting for step 1)

5. Installation of transfer case protection.

6. Body lift 5 cm.

7. 33 wheels (a set of Federal Kuragia MT tires has already been purchased)

8. Rewiring the brain.

Phew! Perhaps it's time to finish.

Good luck on the roads!

Technical characteristics of the new UAZ Patriot 2015

UAZ Patriot is a mid-size car. They started producing it in Ulyanovsk automobile plant in 2005. Another popular car from the same plant, UAZ Simbir (UAZ-3162), was taken as the basis. The code designation of the UAZ Patriot is UAZ-3163.

Since October 2014, the release of an updated modification was announced of this car. At the same time, applications for the purchase of a 2015 UAZ Patriot began to arrive. And if you are thinking about purchasing a car that can show its best side both in city conditions and off-road, then this article on our car portal website will be interesting for you.

Let's look at the main UAZ characteristics Patriot 2015.

The transmission in conjunction with these engines will be a five-speed gearbox.

The car comes with Part-Time all-wheel drive, that is:

  • permanent rear-wheel drive;
  • rigidly connected front.

You can control the distribution of forces on the axle using a two-stage transfer case with electric drive.

Dynamic characteristics

It is clear that you should not expect any special speed records from a two-ton SUV, but the engine power is quite enough for the driver to feel confident both on difficult sections without a normal asphalt surface, and in dense traffic on expressways.

WITH gasoline engine maximum speed will be 150 kilometers per hour. Acceleration to the first hundred will take approximately 20 seconds.

Fuel consumption ZMZ 409.10 has the following:

  • 12.5 liters of AI-92 gasoline in the combined cycle;
  • 14.5 - in the city;
  • 10.5 - outside the city.

At the same time, at a speed of 90 km/h average consumption will be 11-12 liters, and at a speed of 120 km/h - 15-16 liters.

ZMZ 51432 shows the following characteristics:

  • maximum speed - 135 kilometers per hour;
  • acceleration to one hundred kilometers per hour is about 22 seconds.

Diesel consumption on the highway averages 9.5 liters at a speed of 90 km/h.

If you want to switch the gasoline version to gas, then get ready to spend approximately 16 liters of “blue fuel” per 100 kilometers.

Weight and dimensions parameters of UAZ Patriot 2015

According to its parameters, the Patriot falls into the category of mid-size all-terrain vehicles.

For three available configurations the following parameters are specified:

  • Classic - 4750/2760/1900/1910 (length//width/height);
  • Comfort and Limited - 4785/2760/1900/2005.

The track of the front and rear wheels is 1600 millimeters for basic configuration Classic and 1610 mm for the Comfort and Limited trim levels.

  • 2125 kilograms for car versions equipped with gasoline engines;
  • 2165 kg - diesel.

The maximum weight of cargo for transportation is 525 kilograms, respectively, the weight of an SUV with a full load will be 2650 and 2690 kilograms.

(function(w, d, n, s, t) ( w[n] = w[n] || ; w[n].push(function() ( Ya.Context.AdvManager.render(( blockId: "R-A -136785-3", renderTo: "yandex_rtb_R-A-136785-3", async: true )); )); t = d.getElementsByTagName("script"); s = d.createElement("script"); s .type = "text/javascript"; s.src = "//an.yandex.ru/system/context.js"; s.async = true; , this.document, "yandexContextAsyncCallbacks");

I would also like to say that although according to the documents the carrying capacity is 525 kilograms, we have repeatedly been convinced that the Patriot can easily pull a weight of 600 kg.

In all trim levels it is 210 millimeters. The car can cross a ford up to half a meter deep, which is also important when driving off-road. The ramp angle is 35 degrees - that is, the car will not sit “on its belly” when driving over fairly steep uneven surfaces, and it will be able to drive over curbs in city conditions without problems.

Chassis, suspension, braking system

Special innovative solutions in the chassis updated SUV you won't find it.

But the new Patriot has an important update in the suspension system - an anti-roll bar is used on the rear axle.

In all other respects, the suspension and damping system remained unchanged:

  • front - dependent spring, stabilizer;
  • The rear one is also dependent, on springs.

The brakes for the front wheels are ventilated disc, and a conventional drum system is installed at the rear.

Depending on the configuration, tires can be selected with a 16-inch radius and size 225/75 or 235/70. If the car has to work in more difficult conditions then you can order massive wheels with reinforced tread, their size is 245/60 R 18.

Price, exterior and interior

In terms of price, the Patriot lives up to its name and remains within the budget segment.

The following configurations are available:

  • Classic - from 679 thousand;
  • Comfort - from 739 thousand;
  • Limited - from 799 thousand rubles.

You can get significant discounts of up to 50 thousand rubles.

The main differences between these trim levels are not in technical characteristics, but in additional options. In the basic configuration you will not find: /EBD, immobilizer, central locking, storage container, roof rails, active antenna, navigation system with GLONASS and GPS, air conditioning. Well, more expensive versions all these necessary elements are available.

If we talk about changes in appearance, then you can easily notice that the car has undergone a significant facelift:

  • headlight unit with LEDs;
  • radiator grille with broken lines;
  • the bumper is attached to the body, not to the frame;
  • The rear lights extend onto the sides.

Sound insulation characteristics have been improved thanks to glued glass. The sills are also integrated into the body.

In the interior, the main changes affected the seats - now they are domestic, not Korean, and there are more options. More adjustments for passenger seats. In more expensive trim levels, an information panel of the multimedia center with a navigator appeared, the diagonal of the touch display is 7 inches.

Rear passengers were given more space by as much as 8 centimeters by moving the rear row of seats back. If desired, another sofa can be placed in luggage compartment and the car will accommodate 7 passengers (or 9 if with children).

By the way, the trunk volume is 700 liters.

Tests and reviews

The UAZ Patriot has already been tested many times and in a variety of conditions.

If we break down the sensations point by point, we will highlight the following main, in our opinion, points:

  • very much high consumption fuel - if you go somewhere far away to the sea in the summer, then an 87-liter tank will be enough for 400-500 kilometers;
  • the engines are frankly weak for a two-ton car; in order to drive at high speed, you need to maintain high speeds;
  • the gearbox is classic, but all gear ratios are measured clearly, there are no problems with switching;
  • the stove may fail - warm air from the deflectors in the summer;
  • short gas pedal travel, hard pedal brakes, by the way braking distances not the shortest.

Of the positive aspects, the first thing that stands out is the reliability, which is not very typical.

So, when maneuvering on mountain roads or off-road, you constantly have to move the transfer case lever - it can even be broken, but you won’t find any significant damage to the transmission and suspension.

Serious breakdowns, depending on driving style and operation, may begin somewhere closer to the 35-40 thousand kilometers mark: broken wheel bearings, replacement of stabilizers, head gaskets. Some drivers complain about extraneous sounds from the transfer case, the cooling system needs constant monitoring - cracks in the hoses, leaking taps.

If you do not take care of the body, corrosion will quickly corrode the body and bottom.

In a word, you can find a lot of reviews about this car, both positive and not so positive. We advise you to simply follow all the manufacturer’s recommendations, do not overload the car and use it for its intended purpose. In case of any breakdowns, please contact service centers, use only original spare parts during repairs.
