If you want to take a lot of people - please, you need to take building materials to the dacha - and then no problem. At the time of buying a Chevrolet Blazer, I already had a 3-daughter, and in October 2008 a son was born. For our family, a big car is an important condition, because all the time we need to put something in the trunk - a stroller, a bicycle, numerous things or all at once, for example, when we go to the country house or to the village. Everything fits into my Blazer. I am also very pleased that my car is simply irreplaceable when traveling out of town - it showed itself from the best side there: drive along any road - in the forest, in a field, where, naturally, an ordinary "passenger car" will not pass. As a result, I decided to sell, I felt sorry for the time and money, then I couldn't get them off the car, and I was not a fan of the Chevrolet Blazer. The suspension is stiff in places, and in places very imposing. It’s not clear what depends on what, but this is an off-road truck, so I resigned myself. The front suspension is like any Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Torsion bars, four levers. Rear springs. Everything is on elastic bands, so there is no squeak (if changed on time). Outside the city, less than 11 does not go out, even though the BC says 9 liters, and if you go for a drive on all-wheel drive, then up to 30 liters is possible (the tank is only 68 liters). But on evil or big wheels, no savings. The second is its low frame. Although it is adapted for light and fast "body lift", but in stock the Chevrolet Blazer is passable at times. And, of course, these are torsion bars. Better than springs, of course. But they add a lot of problems if you want not just to increase the distance from the body to the frame and from the arches to the wheels, but to increase the ground clearance (the distance from the ground to the frame). To be wise is not to be too smart. But in general, as anyone. I would say in stock, a car for high-speed passage of rough terrain. On the highway 120-140. If it is faster, it starts to drive along the track. But in the fields, in the mountains, it's just super. Gas to the floor and rushed (weaving across the field - easy). I didn't even expect the Chevrolet Blazer to hold on to the ground like that. You think that's all, a springboard and went into the lead, but no. You can't get off the ground. And it does not hit the bottom, you cannot even test the protection. UAZ does not know how. In the end, I will say, a great car, if you don't want to make a mud mixer out of it. Very good as it is. Well, maybe if only a couple of inches of lift.
