Each light source has its own radiation spectrum, and if we are talking about fog lights, when you understand the primordial meaning of this term, then they must have a rather difficult spectral balance. The fact is that in standard lights mounted on a modern auto plane, there is a sufficiently large stock of brightness and intensity.

In the event that the headlight setting is made correctly, it fully meets all the requirements of everyday use. However, this is not quite so for old models of cars, which simply could not be equipped with proper devices because of their absence at that time.

The installation of foglights as an additional lighting is justified by the fact that they have a special spectrum of light, otherwise leading themselves if the headlights include in a dense fog. To make a ray of light, emitted by the PTF of special characteristics, they put yellow light filters. Thanks to them, the radiated light is not reflected from the water suspension, which is a fog, but passes through it.

Required elements for connecting the Podytooth headlights

This operation begins, like any, associated with automotive electricity, from disconnecting the battery by disconnecting the terminals. And of course, the preparation of the following materials:

• a set of fog;
• fuse with a denomination of 15 amps;
• if there is no desire to climb the fuse block, then the enclosures for installing the fuse;
• relay with four contacts to turn on the PTF and the block, with which it connects;
• button to turn on and off fog;
• wires, terminals on them and other consumables.

How is the electrical scheme going

Let's start with the fact that according to the GOST, the fog lights should be included simultaneously with the overall lights. But this does not mean that the latter cannot be included without PTF. That is, when the overall lights are turned off, the fog lights will not be lit.

To begin with, install the relay. The place for this can be chosen anywhere, for example, for the dashboard. We connect the wire with 86 contacts to the nearest minus wire, suitable for all devices on the panel or plant it on the body. After that, the wire that will be connected to 85 - by shifting to the place of installation of the shutdown button and turn on the PTF and connect to its contacts. From the second contact of this switch, the wire comes to contact +12 V on the ignition lock.

The wire with 87 relay contact is pulled through the plug on the fuse pin, while its second contact is connected to the plus terminal of the battery. The fuse is best spaced as close as possible to the battery. The wires running on the transmission terminal included on the parallel diagram are connected to 30 relays. The second PTF terminal connects to the mass or minus wire located near the headlights of the main light.

After that, a thorough check of all elements of the collected circuit for the quality of the connections made and the absence of even theoretical possibility of a short circuit is made. After that, it is necessary to check the performance of the scheme, connecting not yet installed headlights. Only after that you can proceed to the next step - to connect the fog lights.

Installation of fog lights

Starting the installation of fog, it is necessary to remember that the rules of road traffic are clearly described by the requirements for how it should be produced. From how clear there will be a beam of light, distributed over the horizontal plane, the quality of the lighting of the path depends. The installation of fog lights is recommended to do in the bottom of the bumper, as it allows you to create a certain layer between the light and the fog, due to the coverage of a good level.

With this installation on the glass part of the headlight, it is necessary to install safety lattices. They will protect it from damage by stones, sticks and other hard elements that fight about the surface of the headlight during the ride. In addition, PTF glass must be polished periodically so that they emit clearly scattered light.
