Ford Focus does not go 3. Ford Focus III - the game for the fall

25.11.2016

Ford Focus 3 (Ford Focus) it is difficult to call a simple and unpretentious car, this car is not only beautiful from the outside, but also has a modern exterior and equipment. Despite this, the third generation Focus, unlike the previous version, did not become a bestseller, however, the number of used Ford Focus 3 in the secondary market is huge, therefore, we had no right to leave this car unattended. Today we'll talk about the most common disadvantages of Focus 3, and what you should look for when buying this used car.

A bit of history:

In 1998, the Escort model was replaced by the first Ford Focus, its debut took place at the Geneva auto show, where the novelty made a splash. The second generation Focus made its debut in September 2004 in Paris. In 2005, the production of a car was launched in Russia, at a plant in Vsevolozhsk. became a real bestseller of the brand and was one of the ten best-selling cars in the world. In the CIS, in order to get this car, many had to wait for their turn for 6 months.

Ford Focus 3 (Mk 3) was first demonstrated in early 2010 at the Detroit International Auto Show. Despite this, the official sales of new items in the CIS started only in 2012. The car was created on the platform “ C1”And was offered in three body types - a five-door hatchback, a sedan and a station wagon. Unlike previous versions, the novelty is equipped with a large number of electronic systems that were previously unavailable for most Ford models. Four configurations were available for our market - Ambiente, Trend, Trend Sport and Titanium, there is also a charged version of the "ST". The third generation Ford Focus was produced until 2015.

Weaknesses Ford Focus 3 with mileage

The paintwork of this car, frankly, is weak, scratches appear even from minor contacts with bushes and brushes at car washes. Despite this, corrosion on the car body is quite rare. When inspecting the car, be sure to pay attention to the condition of the bumpers, since according to statistics, on every second copy, the standard front bumper mounts are broken off.

Power units

Ford Focus 3 was equipped with gasoline and diesel power units of varying degrees of boost: gasoline 1.6 (85, 105 and 125 hp), 2.0 (150 and 250 hp); diesel 1 .6 (95, 115 hp), 2.0 (115, 140 and 163 hp). Complaints about the reliability of Ford engines are rare, and the third generation Focus is no exception. The engines of this car are quite reliable, and if any problems arise with them, then, as a rule, they are insignificant. One of the features of gasoline power units is their noisy operation, especially when the engine is cold. For example, when starting a cold 1.6 engine, you can hear a "clatter" or tapping from under the hood (a feature of the injectors), after warming up, as a rule, annoying sounds disappear. Engine 2.0 also has an unpleasant feature - a loud knock when starting a cold engine (a feature of the high-pressure fuel pump).

On cars produced from 2011 to 2012, there was an unstable operation of the engine "tripping" and a loss of traction, the reason was a failure in the firmware of the power unit control unit, later, the manufacturer eliminated this problem by replacing the software. The engine control unit is located not far from the front bumper, and if even a minor blow to the front of the car occurs, it needs to be replaced (the cost of the unit is about $ 1,500). If you constantly drive at high speeds, then oil consumption increases, up to 300 grams per 1000 km. The weak point of diesel engines is its sensitive fuel system, if the car was filled with low-quality fuel, expensive repairs cannot be avoided.

Transmission

The Ford Focus 3 was equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox and a PowerShift robotic transmission with two dry clutches. Unfortunately, the automatic transmission has both technical and operational disadvantages. So, in particular, the owners often refer to jerks, jolts and metallic grinding when changing gears, as well as jerking the car when driving in a traffic jam. If the car has been operated in a metropolis most of the time, then an expensive repair of this transmission will be needed after 50-60 thousand km (clutch replacement is required).

As for the mechanics, it is quite reliable, but it still has minor drawbacks - leakage of the axle shaft oil seals and acidification of the gear shift cables. To prolong the life of the shift cables, they need to be lubricated every 50,000 km. The clutch lives here for a long time - 120-150 thousand km.

Suspension reliability Ford Focus 3

As a front suspension on Ford Focus 3, MacPherson strut is traditionally used, in the back there is a multi-link independent suspension. The braking system is represented by disc brakes, the steering is equipped with an electro-hydraulic booster. The owners of this car model often complain about the creaking of the suspension in cold weather, dealers do not consider this a breakdown, and call this drawback "a feature of the car." If we talk about the reliability of the suspension, then it is quite tenacious, and coastal operation, on average, will last 70-90 thousand km.

For most modern cars, stabilizer struts live no more than 50,000 km. Shock absorbers, after 70,000 km, as a rule, begin to leak, and closer to 100,000 km they will need to be replaced, at the same time the thrust bearings will have to be replaced. Ball joints, wheel bearings and silent blocks, on average, run about 80,000 km. The breakup levers of the rear suspension fail at a run of 60-70 thousand km. The steering rack is considered the most problematic place in the chassis, and can knock very early (up to 60,000 km). Due to the fact that this unit is not collapsible and changes together with the amplifier, its replacement is not cheap.

Salon

Salon Ford Focus 3 has an original design, but as for this model, the quality of finishing materials and build quality fail, as a result, crickets appear in the cabin in the first year of the car's life. Despite the large number of electrical equipment in the cabin, complaints about their work are extremely rare.

Outcome:

In general, it is a fairly reliable and inexpensive car to maintain (if we do not consider cars with a robotic gearbox), yes, there are certain nuances, but other cars in this price segment also have them.

If you are the owner of this car model, please describe the problems that you had to face during the operation of the car. Perhaps it is your feedback that will help the readers of our site when choosing a car.

Best regards, editors AutoAvenu

Good afternoon. From this article you will learn about the weak points of the Ford Focus 3. Traditionally, for our site, the article will contain a lot of photos and videos.

Ford Focus of the first two generations has become a real bestseller in our market. The car of the third generation, the world premiere of which took place in 2010, was perceived by our motorists more calmly, but it also surpassed many strong competitors in terms of sales. Now, in addition to the new Ford Focus, motorists can also look at used options. But how many unpleasant tricks during operation will the "third" Focus with mileage throw up? This is what we will find out now.

Body.

Since the third generation Ford Focus has not been produced for too long, it will not work to find rust spots on its body. The centers of corrosion can be seen only on those specimens that had time to experience serious accidents and were not restored in the best way after them. But poorly fitted doors and fogging front optics on the third-generation Focus are far from uncommon. Fortunately, fogging can be easily cured by replacing the usual headlight plugs with the same ones, but with ventilation holes. Owners also complain that the windshield is covered with small scratches too quickly.

Salon.

Salon Ford Focus 3 in terms of the quality of finishing materials is comparable to those of most classmates. However, assembly flaws and uneven clearances in most vehicles can be easily spotted. Naturally, the third-generation Focus is not spared from the "crickets" that most often settle in the area of the radio and air ducts on the front panel.

Line of engines.

The overwhelming majority of "third" Ford Focus, which were officially sold in our market, will have a 1.6-liter gasoline engine under the hood, which, depending on the degree of boost, can develop 85, 105 and 125 horsepower. About the two weakest versions, even if they please with rather low fuel consumption, it is better to refuse right away.

For a fairly heavy car, 105 horsepower, and even more so 85 "horses", is frankly not enough. If we talk about the problems that Ford Focus gasoline engines can deliver, then we will gladly have to admit that there are practically none so far. Many Focus owners are alarmed by the chirping at the top of the engine, which tends to increase with warming up, but this is not worth fearing. This is just a feature of the injectors. Unusual sounds, by the way, are also produced by the two-liter gasoline GDI, which is quite often found on those Ford Focus that were sold in Western Europe. The Europeans also fell in love with the diesel Focus, which can withstand a mileage of 200 thousand kilometers without any problems, but we have such versions of the car on sale extremely rare.

On the Focus, from the first batches, 1.6-liter engines were distinguished by unstable operation, tripping and loss of thrust after a cold start. Ford first tried to explain this behavior of powertrains by premature carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, after which they released a new firmware for the powertrain control module. The problem disappeared.

Transmission problems.

But with the gearboxes of the Ford Focus of the 3rd generation, there are more problems. Even the "mechanics" after 5-10 thousand kilometers can upset the leakage of the seals of the axle shafts. For the rest, however, there are no complaints about the manual gearbox. PowerShift there is. Not only does it start to change gears with noticeable jerking in sluggish traffic jams, but also during acceleration it can scare you with a metal grinding noise when changing gears. When the number of claims against PowerShift exceeded the acceptable level, Ford was forced to issue a special technical bulletin that prescribed reprogramming of the transmission control module. This partially solved the problem - transmission vibrations were reduced, and gear changes became smoother.

Suspension.

The suspension of the third-generation Ford Focus is strong enough and cannot be called a weak point. Up to 100 thousand kilometers, and most of the cars sold are just approaching this mark, it does not require attention to itself! So at the moment, the only serious complaint about the Focus suspension is the appearance of extraneous sounds when driving through irregularities, which tend to intensify with the onset of cold weather.

Steering is the weak point of the Ford Focus 3.

Against the background of the suspension, the steering of the "third" Focus seems frankly unfinished. After 5-7 thousand kilometers, the steering rack may begin to knock. And all because of the backlash of the left steering rod. And worst of all, replacing the rail does not fundamentally solve the problem. After the same 10 thousand kilometers, knocks appear again. Not all is well with the electric power steering. Sometimes he can refuse at the most inopportune moment. This is due to the power steering electric motor. Although you shouldn't rush to change it right away. Sometimes the performance of an electric amplifier can be restored by a banal turning off and on the ignition.

Conclusion.

Calling the third-generation Ford Focus an absolutely problem-free car will not work. If its engines and suspension as a whole do not cause problems, then unpleasant surprises should be expected from the steering and gearboxes after a run of 10 thousand kilometers. Perhaps this is what influenced the fact that the "third" Focus did not become as popular as its predecessors. On the other hand, in terms of reliability, most of the competitors of the Ford Focus, if better, then only a little. So you shouldn't give up buying a used third-generation Focus. With timely service, the car will serve faithfully for many years.

That's all for me today. If you want to supplement an article about the weaknesses of the Ford Focus 3 - please write comments.

Advantages and disadvantages of used Ford Focus 3

Weaknesses of the body

Paintwork not of the best quality, but this drawback is observed on many cars and not only budget ones. The most problematic places are the bumper, hood, arches and sills; in these places, after 3-5 years of operation, the paint can begin to peel off.

Body galvanized, thanks to this, even in places where paint is chipped, the metal resists the onslaught of redhead disease for a long time. Often, the paint is erased to metal at the points of contact of the rubber seal of the engine compartment with the hood, so as not to bring problem areas to extremes, it is recommended to cover it with a film.

Uneven door gaps are not always the result of an accident, on some copies they were initially not fitted in the best way.

When inspecting, pay attention to the bumper mounts- they are quite fragile and break even from a minor blow.

Front optics is prone to fogging in the area of the light beam, this leads to a significant decrease in the quality of illumination, especially if xenon lamps are installed in the optics. It is possible to eliminate the ailment by replacing the headlight plugs with similar ones, but with ventilation holes. There are complaints about the performance of the foglights - flickering appears in the cold season. The disease, as a rule, goes away after warming up the engine compartment of the car.

Heated windshield- very delicate and often cracks from temperature extremes.

Reliability of motors

All power units of the Ford Focus 3 are reliable enough, but, on the little things, they can still bother their owners. The most common of them: rapid wear of the right engine mount (50-100 cu), failure of the oxygen sensor (30-50 cu), failure of the fuel pump (100-150 cu), electromagnetic leak timing valve (20-40 cu).

Engine control unit (ECU)- by itself, it is reliable, but due to poor location there is a high probability of damage to it. The block is installed behind the front left fender, practically on the inner part of the wheel arch liner, and if this part is hit by an accident, the block will most likely have to be changed - it will cost about $ 1000. Also, the reason for the early replacement of the unit may be the corrosion of its contacts. This trouble appears as a result of moisture getting into the block after washing or driving through deep puddles.

Cooling radiator- the radiator is very close to the front of the car, therefore, in most cases, even a slight blow to the bumper is enough for the radiator to crack. The air conditioner tube underneath is often damaged along with it.

Gasoline ICEs:

Engine 1.6- many complain about the unstable operation of the engine at idle (tripping) and the deterioration of dynamics. The main reason is carbon deposits inside the combustion chamber. To fix the problem, it is necessary to reflash the engine control unit (PCM firmware) and clean the combustion chambers from carbon deposits. During operation of a cold engine, you can hear a distinct "clatter", but you should not be afraid of this - the peculiarity of the operation of the fuel injectors (on a serviceable power unit, after warming up, extraneous sounds disappear).

Motor 2.0- a feature of this motor is the loud operation of the injection pump during the start of the power unit. The two-liter Duratec engine is sensitive to the quality of the fuel and, if you abuse the "badyazhny" gasoline, you should not count on the trouble-free operation of the injection pump (replacement will cost $ 400-600).

Diesel internal combustion engines:

Diesel power units are equipped with a Common Rail fuel system, this system is very sensitive to fuel quality, therefore, it is advisable to refuel a car only at proven gas stations. Otherwise, an expensive repair of the fuel equipment is inevitable - the fuel injectors (100-150 cu units), the high-pressure fuel pump, (500 cu) and the EGR valve fail.

DPF filter (particulate filter)- designed for 140,000 km, after - replacement is required, but if the car is mainly operated on the highway, it can last up to 250,000 km. The appearance of an engine error and a significant decrease in thrust will serve as signals about the need to replace the filter.

Dual-mass flywheel- in most cases, its resource is about 200,000 km, about 500 USD will have to be paid for replacement. Symptoms - characteristic knocking and shuffling appear.

Transmission problem areas

Mechanics- this type of transmission is reliable, but not perfect. Among the shortcomings, it is possible to note the leakage of the oil seals and the acidification of the gear shift cables. The resource of the original clutch is 120-150 thousand km.

Powershift- is the weak point of the Ford Focus 3. Almost on new cars, the transmission bothers with rough shifts (especially in traffic jams), which are excluded by definition for the preselective gearbox. Also, jerks can appear not only when changing gears, but also during sharp acceleration. The twitching is often accompanied by a metallic grinding sound. According to dealers, the reason lies in the imperfection of the firmware, which the officials update for free if the owners contact them with this problem. Ford officials are confident that the latest firmware will provide more comfortable and stable shifting. The only pity is that the updated software did not reach all CIS services. The most common technical ailment is clutch failure - when using a car in city mode, clutch replacement may be required at a mileage of 50-70 thousand km (400-500 USD). Servicemen also note a sudden failure of the TCM box control module (500-700 cu).

Suspension resource Ford Focus 3

Traditionally, for modern cars, MacPherson struts are installed in front, the weak points here are also traditional:

  • Bushings and stabilizer struts fail after 30-40 thousand km.
  • Support bearings are often rented out for 60-80 thousand kilometers.
  • After 70,000 km of run, shock absorbers begin to leak; by 80-100 thousand km of run, they need to be replaced.
  • Hub bearings and silent blocks run on average 120-150 thousand km.

A multi-link is installed at the back:

  • Breakup levers, travel 70-80 thousand km
  • Shock absorbers - up to 100,000 km, if you often load a car to the fullest, the resource can be reduced to 30-50 thousand km.
  • Hub bearings - care more than 150,000 km
Steering:

The power steering is equipped with an electric motor which makes the steering wheel heavier as the speed increases. This part rarely fails, but if such a nuisance happens, the repair will not be cheap - dealers change it along with the rail, but it is the weak point of this model. To check the rail, turn the steering wheel sharply while the car is running - there should be no extraneous sounds. If the rake does not knock, do not rush to rejoice, this is a matter of time - in most cases the rake starts knocking after 60-80 thousand km of run. When contacting the service, the dealers changed the rail under warranty, but this did not give the expected result, since the new rail often began to knock after several thousand kilometers. On some specimens, the rail does not require repair even after 150,000 km, but, unfortunately, such cases are rare. After 2012, the part was modernized, thereby extending its resource by a couple of tens of thousands of kilometers.

Salon and electrical

The interior of the third Ford Focus 3 has evolved not only in ergonomics, but also in materials (soft plastic is used). The only place that deserves criticism is the front seats - they quickly lose their shape, and the upholstery without a protective cover quickly loses its presentation. Electronics, of which there is a fairly large number in the cabin, are reliable and rarely cause trouble to their owners.

As a result:

Operating experience has shown that the Ford Focus 3 is a reliable and unpretentious car, which deservedly holds a leading position in the market.

If you have experience in operating this car model, please tell us what problems and difficulties you had to face. Perhaps it is your feedback that will help the readers of our site when choosing a car.

Ford Focus always finds its buyer, regardless of generation. The first Focus will delight those who value good driving performance, and the second - those who are looking for an inexpensive roomy car, devoid of serious flaws.

The Ford Focus Mk.III debuted in 2011 and underwent a facelift in 2015.

The Third Focus can compete with any of its predecessors, but, unfortunately, it has lost some of its practicality. The interior is not as free as in the Ford Focus 2. Part of the space was eaten by the enlarged front panel, which forced the driver and passenger seats to move back. As a result, the second row has become a little closer.

You don't have to rely on a large trunk either. The 5-door hatchback with an underfloor spare offers just 300 liters. The station wagon, which has 490 liters at its disposal, is far from ideal. The sedan will also disappoint. Instead of the standard 500 liters for the segment, the owner will find only 475.

As befits a modern car, Ford Focus 3 can be equipped with numerous security systems, in particular: a parking assistant, a warning system for unintentional lane changes, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot monitoring system. Most of them were available only in the richest trim levels and only for a fee.

The interior design will appeal to many. It looks nice and modern. True, the multimedia screen seems too small by modern standards.

Engines

Ford Focus 3 got a wide range of powertrains. The backbone is formed by 1.6-liter aspirated Duratec with 85, 105 and 125 hp. As an alternative for Europeans, a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost with 100 or 125 hp output was available. A 1.6-liter EcoBoost was also offered there, generating 150 or 182 hp. In Russia, the top-end Duratec was assigned with a capacity of 2.0 liters, developing 150 hp. After restyling, its place was taken by a 1.5-liter Ecoboost with a return of 150 hp.

On the European market, cars were also offered with diesel engines of 2.0 and 1.6 liters. Both turbodiesels were created in conjunction with the PSA concern, but the aggregate part does not completely coincide with the French counterparts used by Peugeot and Citroen.

Which engine should you choose?

Those who buy a Ford Focus 3 with a range of more than 100,000 km, of course, should consider only gasoline aspirated engines. This is the safest choice. In the event of a malfunction, the motor does not require large repair costs. The 1.6-liter Duratec uses a Ti-VCT variable valve timing system and multipoint fuel injection. The main thing is to periodically check the valve clearance and change the timing belt every 120,000 km. The 2-liter engine has a chain-type timing drive. And instead of distributed injection, it is equipped with direct.

The EcoBoost series motors are similar in design to the Duratec. But turbocharging and direct injection fundamentally change the character of the engine. It becomes not only dynamic, but also economical. At least as long as the driver maintains a calm driving style. It should be understood that the Ecoboost series is a typical example of downsizing. Small motors run at high loads and therefore have a limited life.

As for the diesel versions, it is better to choose a 2-liter engine. But it will be difficult to find it. 2.0 TDCi is devoid of serious drawbacks and is able to cover more than 200,000 km without any problems. The 1.6 TDCi is also quite reliable. Both turbodiesels need periodic timing belt replacement.

Typical problems and malfunctions

Transmission

In general, the third Ford Focus is not a problem car. In any case, if the PowerShift robotic transmission is not installed. The most harmless ailment is oil leaks in the area of the right axle shaft. It is much more unpleasant if the TCM control module fails (35,000 rubles) or the clutch unit wears out prematurely (30,000 rubles).

The oil seal of the right axle shaft is also observed in cars with a manual transmission.

Engines

Fortunately, the mechanical part of gasoline engines does not present any problems. You only have to deal with trifles, such as a worn-out right support of the power unit (7,000 rubles), a failed oxygen sensor (3,000 rubles), a fuel pump in the tank (15,000 rubles) or a leaking timing valve (3,000 rubles).

It is worth noting that a high pressure pump is used in the fuel system of the 2L Duratec. The injection pump is sensitive to the quality of the fuel. A disdainful attitude towards the choice of a gas station can cost the owner from 20 to 30 thousand rubles.

At the moment, there are few complaints about EcoBoost. Repetitive faults include only mass air flow (MAP) sensors. There are also complaints about the engine control program, in which errors are periodically detected. However, the problem is common to all powertrains, which Ford solves with regular software updates.

Undercarriage

The suspension is capable of withstanding 100,000 km without interference. Later you will have to replace the stabilizer struts, thrust bearings, and sometimes one of the front levers. After 150,000 km, it is the turn of wheel bearings and shock absorbers.

For your information: the suspension was equipped with two interchangeable types of levers - steel and aluminum. In the first case, you can replace the ball joint separately, and in the second only together with the lever.

Steering rack knocking is common. Extraneous sounds, as a rule, pester only on unpaved surfaces, where the car moves quite rarely. Fortunately, this defect does not affect security. In rare cases, repairs may be necessary for the electric power steering (10-20 thousand rubles).

Electrician

Power supply problems occur after 150-200 thousand km due to a generator failure, as a result of worn brushes or a malfunction of the voltage regulator. You will have to pay about 10,000 rubles for a new generator, and about 3,000 rubles for a regulator.

Electrical failures can also be caused by a failure of the BCM (GEM module). Water from the washer enters its contacts.

Body and interior

Even if corrosion occurs, it is only on the elements of the chassis and the exhaust system. Its presence does not raise any concerns. After winter, the louvers that cover the radiator grill should be checked to ensure that the engine reaches operating temperature quickly. Due to contamination, they can remain in the closed position. The device was installed only on diesel modifications.

Owners often complain about fogging of the front and rear optics. In addition, they note the occasional appearance of a small amount of water in the trunk (from the vents hidden by the bumper) or at the feet of the front passenger (from the air conditioner evaporator).

Sometimes the head unit or the electric glass drive fails (drive corrosion). With age, interior elements and the stove motor (7,000 rubles) begin to emit noise.

Market situation

Today a decent copy can be purchased for 440,000 rubles. Among the proposals, versions with a 1.6-liter aspirated gasoline dominate. Cars with a 2-liter Duratec are four times smaller, and diesel modifications and inflatable Ecoboosts can be counted on one hand.

Conclusion

Of course, the third Focus is not the best representative of the class. It lacks internal space, and the workmanship is average, but in the aftermarket it is held in high esteem. No wonder. The focus lacks to the ideal quite a bit, and the purchase and maintenance costs are low.

Ford Focus 3 with a 150-horsepower two-liter gasoline engine, which came to us for testing in mid-July, all this time delighted us with a comfortable suspension, precise steering response and smart electronic stuffing. But with the increase in mileage on the odometer, some interesting metamorphoses have occurred with the hatchback, which, of course, are worth talking about.

It is not worth trying to get under way with only slightly submerging the gas pedal on this car - there is no traction from the bottom. Therefore, we confidently press the gas pedal to the floor, and ... the car went off. The first gear, the tachometer needle quickly shoots before the cut-off, requiring the second. The second, third - everything is already familiar - the thrust appears closer to four thousand revolutions, but such that it takes your breath away. The car accelerates confidently, willingly goes to overtake, not giving the descent to brothers with more voluminous motors. But something is wrong ... Oh, yes. The fuel consumption readings on the on-board computer dropped from more than 10 liters per hundred to 8.5 liters for mixed driving style. The car has finally run in.

And that is not bad at all. Traffic jams, highway, the city with its traffic lights. And the consumption figures range from 8.2 to 8.5 liters. And this is at 150 horses and a two-liter volume. Thirty kilometers of empty night "concrete" significantly affected the speed, but consumption increased by only one hundred milliliters from 8.4 to 8.5 liters per hundred. I reset the readings before driving through traffic jams to the capital, but the consumption figures do not change - the same 8.5 liters. Bravo, it’s not very bad with such a volume and power.

For the rest, our Ford Focus 3 remained the same. Driving on asphalt of good and average quality is easy and comfortable for passengers. And frankly bad asphalt can cause indigestion in the suspension, which manifests itself in the form of sonorous tapping. However, the suspension holds the blows quite well, although it sacrifices the comfort of the passengers.

Control Ford Focus 3 excellent. The hatchback forced turns with enviable accuracy at any speed. And in the stream of cars, the maneuvers of rebuilding and overtaking were just as easy for him, and for the driver it was also exciting.

From electronics, I would like to note the not new car parking system. What do not say, but convenient. It is not possible to look behind the bumper from the driver's seat, and the sensors located in front and behind the car make it easy. The car can be easily parked where, it would seem, it is not possible to make this maneuver. The main thing is not to forget to pedal and shift gears. And the car will steer itself.

Another nice little thing is the fuel remaining readings. If in many cars the kilometers that can be driven on fuel in the tank cease to be calculated as soon as the warning light comes on, then at Ford / Ford the calculation of the mileage is carried out to an empty tank, which allows you not to panic ahead of time, but calmly look for a gas station, knowing that the power reserve is enough for a completely certain number of kilometers.

Fans of bright illumination and light tuning will surely appreciate the zeal of "Fords" to diversify the light background in the cabin Ford Focus 3... Personally, I enjoyed the ride with blue and red lights. The three year old son really enjoyed the green lighting. And the wife screamed from orange and pink. However, no matter how our color tastes diverged, the feeling of comfort and convenience of the hatchback systems made us equal.

Ford Focus 3 is one of the few machines that you can literally talk to. Moreover, knowledge of English is not required. The car perfectly understands the Russian language, and, depending on the command, changes the settings of the climate control, audio system and navigation. the only negative is the electronic semblance of a female voice - not a very pleasant timbre and not the usual electronic sound. But, on the other hand, it is extremely convenient for beginners behind the wheel.
