- How did you think the idea of \u200b\u200bopening your canal?

I worked in the garages, engaged in the repair of engines, and friends offered to shoot a video about the Harley-Davidson motor. It was more than five years ago, for me then the camera was like a jet plane. After shooting, I connected the Internet, posted a roller on the social network. Then thought: why not make a video about the adjustment of the carburetor? Always everything asks how to customize it. The quality of the first rollers, of course, is terrible. They still hang on the Internet - you can see. Since this all started.

- Browsing the channel, surprised by your technical knowledge. What is your education?

Officially, I can only present a document on the end of the 10th grades of secondary school in Kiev. I'm self-taught. Worked in garages. I took technical literature, studied. I can not say that it was simple, one page could reread two days. Knowledge simply was not given.

- Did you spinning the channel or the popularity itself came?

What subscribers are, I learned when it was necessary to submit to monetization. He began to look and discovered that I had 13 or 15 thousand subscribers. Before that, I didn't think about it. First, in general, I shipped VKontakte. The first video appeared on September 26, 2010, that is, exactly 5 years ago. And on YouTube began to ship later. But this is how gradually the canal is spinning.

The popularity will be gained by those channels that will provide original content. There is a sense of those people who can give the audience something new. I tell about internal combustion engines. There is no similar analogs, so they look at me. I also want to celebrate your compatriot Oleg Nesterova which is interesting and available talks about body work, also gains popularity. But "Reviewers" new cars are really very much. Here you need to work hard to come up with something new, achieve popularity. There are several people I know who began to make a video, in content similar to mine, only about the electrician and other interesting topics. I just welcome such undertakings, I also wonder if you find such video hardware.

- You have almost 180 thousand subscribers on the channel, 34 million shared views. And who do you watch Youtube yourself?

I look only a little. Not because it is not interesting - there is just no time. There is a Urbanturizm channel about abandoned places - I like it. From the "Reviews" of cars, I view Zhorik Revazov, Konstantin Zarutsky (Academeg). There is also a homeless blogger Zhenya Yakut - also the original content.

- In Belarus, did you come to shoot the horses?

Not only. I have a lot of ideas that you can do here. Yesterday I decided to buy a car, went to watch Lancia Prisma for $ 250 ... You, it turns out, for the money you can buy a foreign car!

- We also have a similar project in the editorial office: bought Ford Sierra in "confiscate" for $ 200 (by the way, there will be new materials soon. - Approx. Avt..)…

Yes, about old cars is always interesting to look. Lancia will be with a 1.9-liter turbodiesel. We traveled to Molodechno, there they took it and came with our own move. What will we do with it? It is still intrigue ... We will shoot with it different videos.

- Do not plans include English subtitles in your video? I think in the West by engines no one makes such reviews, it would be interesting ...

I pierced this topic, there was such a thought. But I did not find a person who will translate. There are difficulties with the transfer of technical terms. So far failed.

This is just something incredible, very many questions sent. Recently, the father looks at the mail. If something is petty, he answers. If some serious question, then he tells me.   • Eugene, I think you had to deal with the service and repair of Lada Kalina. What is your objective opinion about this car? Can you call the mainest advantages and minuses of this car, and how is it better or worse than the remaining Vase models?

- To be honest - I have not had the case with this car 🙂 Just we simply have a big distribution in Ukraine in Ukraine. Because of its big price (if you consider the import, etc.) and relatively not high quality, we do not use new freedoms in demand. In general, personally, I think that in Lada Kalina is needed or a price to significantly reduce, or raise the quality at least to the level of deu (Lanos, Nexia, etc.), then there is a chance to compete.

  • I think you know that Kalina was completed at one time by 3 types of motors: VAZ 21114 (1.6 - 8кл.), 11118 (1.4 °K.), 21126 (1.6 16kl.). What force aggregateWhat do you think is the most reliable and trouble-free? I also wanted to hear your feedback on the new Motor VAZ 21127, which quite recently began to install on new 2 generation kalins. The information on it is still very little on the network, but maybe purely theoretically be able to bring the main advantages and disadvantages of this upgraded engine?

- most reliable engine Personally, I consider 21114 (1.6 - 8kl.), Because on these engines, in principle, 99% are not a valve grid when the timing belt is cut, and generally the timing mechanism itself, both the belt and camshaft, are a simpler and reliable design. In principle, this engine can generally be called the most trouble-free and reliable from the VAZ family (both classics and PP). At my time I saw horrible bullying over these engines, from the very "skillful" operation of the owners, and I should notice that any foreign car will not survive such operation.

- The other engines in principle are also not bad, but a constant problem with the belt breakdown, and the eternal question: "Nut valve or not?", All this very much spoils the reputation of these engines. I personally do not like the design of the GBC, it is the moment when the camshafts are pressed with one common slab, with such a design it is easy to break this slab if you drag into some place more than the rest. Also, I can not not note that the engine 21124 and 21126 are crushed by camshafts. They have a valve approach of only 7 mm, while on the overwhelming majority of similar engine layouts (piston 82 mm and 4 valves per cylinder) rise valve is an average of 9 mm, for example, on the BMW M50V20, the valve is 10 mm, on the VW engine 9a lifting valve 9 mm, etc. But at the same time they have the same phases in principle. And for vases, the valve lifting at 9 mm already goes like a good tuning.

  • Many Kalina owners with a motor of 1.6 8-valves would like to know the true causes of strange sound when it works. It can be compared with work diesel engineespecially on cold. Can you somehow explain this characteristic bubble and diesel location of this DVS, and what ways can you eliminate this defect?

- The reason for this sound is an increased gap between the piston and the cylinder. In general, I do not understand why the plant does this, by the way the same problem and the engines 21213 and 21214, but there this knock is usually written off to noise from the chain. In principle, there is nothing terrible here, so it is possible 100 thousand km. drive Eliminate this phenomenon can only be replaced by pistons on more complete.

  • Evgeniy, on the Internet there are many disputes on how to properly adjust the valve on the Kalinovsky motor (1.6 8-CL.). Some experts advise it to do this in 4 receptions, that is, after 90 degrees turning the camshaft, while others say that you can do it in 2 receptions, approximately, because I did in my instructions here: Which method you consider optimal, and why ?

- In principle, there is no difference exactly how to do it. I even have a visual explanation video:


- But then I also filmed the old camera and the picture quality is not very good. In general, the gap can and need to measure at that moment when the cam is located to the pusher with the back side, while not necessarily the nose must stand clearly, there is a large stock in the course.

Did you have practices for increasing power on viburnum engines, well, or similar eight motors? What results can be achieved with minimal costs, let's say at 10,000 rubles ($ 300), and on what power increase can be calculated? And is it possible to increase the power of the engine without changing the design of the DVS and GBC itself, that is, just by upgrading exhaust system and chip tuning?

- Practice was. In general, the improvement or modernization of any engine (not only VAZ) should be started in the following order:

- The very first thing you need is an adjustable star (or adjustable pulley), it's easier to regulate on the 8 CL, there is nothing more difficult to regulate, and a little more complicated. The essence of the entire adjustment is that on the engine with one camshaft (8 CL) put a camshaft in the overlap, since regular labels do not match, that is, I want to notice what the labels correspond to reality, but when the system is collected and stretched the belt (and especially the chain) then if you set the crankshaft in the NMT by the label, then the label on the camshaft does not match, full-time components It will be enough to just combine tags.

- In the case of 16 cl motor, that is, with two camshafts, you need to configure each shaft separately, it's more difficult if the shaft is not standard, but if the shafts are regular, you can also simply set up the label. The video for the installation of camshaft on 8 CLs is also that with the adjustment of the valves (which led the early), and I show the principle of setting up not standard shafts on the example of the ZMZ-406 engine with the distribution camshafts 46:

- The next stage of refinement should be chip tuning, or how I like to say "Setting ECU". The essence of the adjustment is to make the mixture richer in all modes, since the ECU program is initially crushed environmental requirements. And adjust the moment of ignition, mainly it means that the ignition needs to be done a little earlier. In this case, the power of the engine will significantly increase, with adequate setting you can safely get about 10% of the potential in the peak. And at the same time in the usual mode of driving around the city and the track (on partial loads), the flow will be slightly smaller.

- The increase will be tangible. I want to notice that any modernization of the release (even just installing a developed spider 4-2-1) is best done before setting up the computer, since when you change the release, it is possible to re-correct something.

- Well, further there is more serious interference in the engine, for example, raise the compression ratio, facilitate the flywheel, camshafts, etc. I also want to notice that I categorically do not recommend installing the filter zero resistance. The fact that they really don't filter it is one nuance, but what's on large turns (When the air flow is large) these filters create an additional airflow resistance. This is the second nuance, which I told in one of the early videos, and should still be told in the future.

  • Since now I had baptic frosts, many would have been glad to listen to the advice of an experienced motorist about the winter start-up of the engine. If you can - somewhat useful Soviets From you, like a specialist!

- Well, in general, if the engine and its systems are in good condition, then the launch is carried out in principle without problems. The only thing I can advise - when starting injector Engine In a strong frost, you need to press 20-25% on gas to improve the reservoir, otherwise there is a chance to pour candles. I also want to note that the ignition system is responsible for launching in the frost (if the engine is technically correct and there is compression), so if there are prerequisites on a bad or uncertain start - first change the candles to new ones.
