Michelin

For the summer season 2017, the French manufacturer has expanded its range of high-performance sports tires, updated tires for SUVs and crossovers, and upgraded the off-season model. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S has expanded its range of high-performance tires for powerful premium cars and sports cars. Tires are supplied for original equipment of the new generation Porsche Panamera, Mercedes-AMG E 63, Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. The size range of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tire will be replenished with ten sizes: the model will be available in 34 variants for wheels with a bore diameter from 17 to 19 inches.

Designed for indoor and road use, Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires will be available in 33 sizes from 17 to 21 inches in 2017. The model received homologation for the original equipment of the new generation Audi R8 and the updated Porsche Carrera 911 GT3. For owners of SUVs and crossovers, Michelin offers Latitude Sport 3 tires with an expanded range of sizes. The model in the new season is presented in 44 sizes for wheels with a diameter of 17 to 21 inches.

By the summer of 2017, the French also upgraded branded tires of the Summer + class, designed for operation from early spring to late autumn. CrossClimate+ tires have improved traction on snow compared to "regular" CrossClimate tires. The novelty has replaced the previous model in the Michelin line, it is presented in 36 sizes from 15 to 18 inches. There are 13 sizes available for crossovers.

Nokian

Finnish tire manufacturers have the main novelty of the summer of 2017 - the Nokian Hakka Blue 2 model, designed with an emphasis on wet handling and hydroplaning resistance. According to Nokian Tires, the novelty, made in accordance with the new Dry Touch 2 concept, “guarantees safe and sustainable driving from the moment spring arrives until the start of cool autumn.” The rubber compound from which the tire is made is designed for difficult climatic and road conditions.

Nokian Hakka Blue 2 tires will be available in sizes from 15 to 17 inches with speed ratings V (240 km/h) and W (270 km/h). The model is designed for family and sports cars of medium power.

The new Nokian Nordman SX2 tires are aimed at owners of small and medium power family cars. According to the manufacturer, the tires effectively resist scuba diving, allow the driver to maintain control over the car even in the event of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions, and also have high mileage rates.

The tires received a hydroplaning indicator. The water drop symbol disappears when the remaining tread depth falls below 4 mm, indicating an increased risk of aquaplaning. The Nordman SX2 is available in 13" to 16" sizes. Speed ​​indices are T (190 km/h) and H (210 km/h). Tires were replaced in the Nokian line by the Nordman SX model.

In addition, for the summer season of 2017, Nokian launched Rockproof tires designed for light trucks and SUVs, which allow you to move through the forest, as well as on sandy and rocky ground. The composition of the tires includes special compounds that allow the tires to withstand high impact loads. The Rockproof tire tread is cut-resistant and the grooves in its pattern are designed to prevent stones from getting stuck between the studs. The sidewalls of the tires are reinforced with aramid fibers. The speed index of the new tires is Q (160 km/h), and the range includes eight sizes, from LT225/75R16 to LT315/70R17.

Pirelli

The main novelty of the coming season for the Italians is the new Cinturato P7 Blue model, aimed at those who appreciate sporty handling, but do not want to sacrifice comfort, and created on the basis of the famous Cinturato P7 tire. Tires are "boiled" from a new mixture with a high content of silica and special polymer materials.

These components are designed to maintain the elasticity of rubber during a sharp drop in air temperature, which often happens in summer in mid-latitudes. Compared to the P7 model, the new P7 Blue has improved wet grip and dry braking performance. The range of new tire sizes includes models with bore diameters from 16 to 18 inches.

Tigar

Subsidiary brand Michelin introduced new Ultra High Performance tires for the summer of 2017, addressed to owners of middle-class cars who prefer a dynamic driving style.

According to the French, due to the deep longitudinal and transverse grooves, as well as massive blocks of the shoulder zone, the tires have "reliable grip on dry and wet surfaces." The model also received a new composition of the rubber compound with the addition of silica - for increased wear resistance and lower rolling resistance. The novelty replaced the Tigar Syneris model and is available in 2017 in 25 sizes for wheels with a bore diameter from 17 to 19 inches, each of which uses a special rim protection.

Yokohama

Japanese manufacturer Yo kohama replaced the popular S.Drive AS01 tire in 2017 with a brand new model, the Advan Fleva V701. It is a versatile tire for powerful cars of medium and premium class, addressed to drivers who prioritize the controllability of the car. In addition, the Japanese claim to have found a good balance between wet handling, fuel efficiency and durability. Tires Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 are available in 43 sizes from 15 to 20 inches.

The BluEarth-A AE-50 model (pictured left), in turn, is a kind of antipode to the mentioned Fleva V701: tires are addressed to owners of middle-class passenger cars who pay special attention to driving comfort. In addition, the manufacturer also draws attention to the significantly improved braking properties and wear resistance of the rubber compound compared to the previous model.
