I first saw the Olympic Village when I went on an excursion to Rosa Khutor by bus, and to be honest, I wasn’t very impressed with it. Well, yes, it must be cool to live in a hotel at an altitude of 1100 meters, I thought then.
But when I went to Rosa Khutor in the spring as a ski resort and booked a hotel in the Olympic Village, then I fully appreciated this place.

The territory of the Olympic village is not very large, but everything is nearby and the hotels are located close to the ski lifts.
I really enjoyed living here during my vacation surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains.
We vacationed in the spring and it was certainly amazing. Below, spring is in full swing, and above in the mountains there is still snow and the ski season continues.

You can get to Rosa Khutor on your own or as part of an excursion group.
The price of the Adler-Rosa Khutor train is 340 rubles one way. But the price of excursion services is only 500 rubles (round trip plus an exciting excursion).
Both options are very interesting.
The price of the cable car is 1300 rubles to the highest point.
Advantages of an independent trip to Rosa Khutor:
You can hike to the highest point of the mountains;
You can visit the rope town Panda Park;
You can ride bicycles.
In general, it is fashionable to plan your unforgettable vacation.
When traveling with an excursion, you won’t have all of the above, but you can see a lot of interesting things along the way.

We went by bus and our route ran through the territory of the Sochi National Park and the Caucasus Nature Reserve.
On the way, we made a wish at a waterfall, admired the beauty of the Akhun Gorge, tasted honey and wine, and also stopped at the neighboring Gazprom resort to get a glimpse of Putin’s residence.

The longest suspension bridge in the world, which is scary to walk on. And from this bridge, the brave and daring can jump headfirst; such pleasure is very expensive (the guide named the price 16 thousand rubles). Personally, I’m afraid to even cross such a bridge, and I’ll certainly never dare to jump.
