" Rosa Khutor, Olympic Village, Sochi - “A fantastically beautiful place! The grandeur of the Caucasus mountains and the European style of the resort! Having once been on an excursion in the summer, I returned again in the spring to go skiing!” Tours to Rosa Khutor

27.10.2019

For your convenience, the resort offers nine official sports equipment rentals. The rentals downstairs in Rosa Dolina offer equipment for various levels of skiing - FANS (beginner and intermediate level) and PRO (advanced level). At Rosa Plata rentals and Burton rentals you can rent PRO equipment from brands such as Fischer (skis) and Burton (snowboard).

During the winter season, rental offices are open daily. To rent equipment you need to have a passport or driver's license with you. We recommend booking your rental after 4:00 pm the day before the ski day. This way you can avoid crowds in the morning.

To store and dry equipment, you can use specially equipped lockers for equipment or storage chambers for things and shoes. They are conveniently located in the Rosa Shelter building (upper station of the Olympia ski lift) and Mzymta Dvor (rental building). The cost of a storage room is 250 rubles/day, a 2-bed locker is 350 rubles/day, a 5-bed locker is 550 rubles/day.

Rental rules

  • Rentals can only be made at the ticket office located in the rental building.
  • Rental is arranged by concluding a rental agreement, for which a passport or driver's license is required.
  • If payment for rental is made by bank card, upon concluding a rental agreement, pre-authorization of funds on the card is carried out in the amount of 20,000 rubles.
  • After skiing, equipment must be returned before the end of the rental period. Then you need to go to the rental office and pay for the rental. If equipment is returned the next day after 9:00 am, the customer will be charged for an additional day of rental.

If you come to the mountains without your own skis/snowboard, but want to go skiing, you can rent equipment. Ski equipment rental is available both at all Krasnaya Polyana resorts and in the village itself.

Official rentals at resorts keep prices higher. But their selection is quite good: there are no old “prehistoric” skis or boards, all models are a maximum of two or three years old. The average price for a set of skis + poles + boots or snowboard + boots in official rental complexes is 1200-1500 rubles. in a day. Sometimes a helmet is included in the kit, but more often they ask for another 200-300 rubles separately.

In private rentals in Krasnaya Polyana, a set can be rented for an amount from 600 to 1000 rubles.

During the high season (January holidays) there are often problems with the availability of the required sizes of boots and skis at rental stores. And in general - with their presence. So at this time it’s worth worrying about equipment in advance (at least a day or two), and not half an hour before going to the mountain.

As for the rest, if you like to ride - well, just love and ride! Even if it’s on rental equipment. Here are some addresses for you to note.

Rentals at the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana

Rentals at the Rosa Khutor resort

The resort has several rental points both in Rosa Dolina (level +560) and on Rosa Plateau.

Rental point in the Mzymta Dvor building

It’s hard not to notice this building, which is why many people go there. So there are sometimes queues there.

Don’t be lazy, walk 100 meters across the river on the bridge, and right behind the Town Hall you will find several more rentals.

Rental behind the town hall

Test center Base 560 N4

Also close to the cable cars is Rental point at the Park Inn 4* hotel

There are rental points in hotels Radisson 5* And Azimut Freestyle 3*.

Three rental points are located in Mountain Olympic Village (Rosa Plateau):

Rental point at the Rosa Ski Inn;
Rental point at balneo-hotel Rosa Springs 4*;
Rental point in the Rosa Shelter building (this is where the Berloga restaurant is located)

Resort Gazprom

A large rental is located directly opposite the ticket office:

At this rental you can also leave your belongings in paid lockers.

At the top station of the cable car - Pikhtovy Shelter - there are also rentals and lockers. Cost from 1200 to 1700 rubles. per set. We rent alpine skis and snowboards, as well as cross-country skis.

Gorki Gorod Resort

The main official rental of the resort is located on the right side of the cable car landing, in the Gorki Plaza hotel building:

100 meters in the other direction, in the building of the Gorki Mall shopping center, there is also a large rental from the network "Kant"(Gornaya Karusel street, 3):

If you go on the other side of the road, along the hotels and private sector Esto-Sadka, then the rental point will be every 100-200 meters.

For example, this is located right next to stop "Gornaya Karusel":

The next one is literally 100 meters away:

Judging by the ticker, prices for the set start at 899 rubles.

Several more rentals are located at hotels.

For example, at the Arcadia Hotel

Address: st. Estonian, 81; price of the set - from 500 rubles

And also at the hotel Gala Alpik:

This unnamed rental is located closer to the Marriott Hotel stop:

And in the arch of the shopping gallery on the street. Estonskaya, 39 (landmark - the Orient Express canteen) hides this rental:

Krasnaya Polyana

In Krasnaya Polyana itself, the largest number of rentals are concentrated along Defenders of the Caucasus Street. At the “Mountain Air” stop alone, I counted 3 rental points.

GetSki rental. me

Rider-base rental

Directly opposite it there is another rental:

And if you believe the sign - 400 rubles - then this is the cheapest rental in Polyana)))

But here you need to keep your eyes open: there were cases when my clients came to class in such rental “firewood” that I wanted to drag this would-be rental guy up the mountain, put these skis on him and force him to slide down on them...

They also sometimes ask: is it possible to rent a jacket, pants, mask, gloves? No, guys, clothes are not rented. Firstly, this is not hygienic, and secondly... again, not hygienic.

Write in the comments which rental service you prefer to use.

And see you on the blog!

We present to your attention an article about the best ski resort in Russia - Rosa Khutor. And this is not an unfounded statement. According to the authoritative Internet resource World Ski Awards, which develops standards in the field of ski tourism and annually evaluates all ski resorts for compliance with these standards, and then the awarding awards, in Russia Rosa Khutor is the best resort for lovers of skiing and snowboarding.

Events at Rosa Khutor

The 2017 Junior World Alpine Ski Championships will be held at the Rosa Khutor ski resort from February 24 to March 6. The tournament will not affect the skiing of tourists in any way.

After the 2014 Olympics, the resort continues to maintain the brand of a high-quality professional track.

Initiatives to hold the Alpine Ski World Cup here are being considered in the future.

What's new

  • The total length of the routes will exceed 94 km, 15 km of new trails will be added.
  • Three new cable cars will be put into operation at the Ober Khutor Circus, this will significantly reduce queues for the lifts and relieve congestion at the finish line.
  • New cheap hostels and guest houses have opened. The interior is simple but comfortable, the furniture is new and you can take advantage of the chance to have a good rest at the best price. The distance to the slopes is 2-3 km, you can walk or take an inexpensive taxi. Here are some names: Green Wood Hostel, Rosa Village Rooms Hotel, Ays Design Hotel.

Where is Rosa Khutor located and how to get there

The Rosa Khutor ski resort is located in 50 km from Sochi airport, Adlerovsky district, in 40 km from the city of Adler and in the lower part of the village of Krasnaya Polyana, in 6 km from him and to 3 km from the village of Estosadok. The convenient location allows you to get here by public transport or taxi for 30 - 40 minutes. We wrote separately about how to get to Sochi and Adler, and about how to get to Krasnaya Polyana. We invite you to read the following detailed articles.

You can take a free bus from the Alpika-Service train station to Rosa Khutor. Travel time - 6 minutes.

As a rule, Rosa Khutor does not ignore any type of public transport; a bus comes here №105 from Sochi and the airport, a bus turns here №135 from Adler. But the most comfortable, fastest and inexpensive way to get to Rosa Khutor is, of course, by high-speed train "Martin".

Geographically, the Rosa Khutor ski resort is located at the foot of Main Caucasian ridge. While walking around the resort, it would be useful to know that you are walking along the northeastern and southern slopes of the ridge Aibga. You will see the beauty of the river Mzymty, and, having climbed to the highest point of the resort, enjoy the views from the top stone pillar. Let's finish with geography and show a collage with the beautiful nature of Rosa Khutor.

Rosa Khutor in numbers

The lowest point in the resort is at a distance 575 meters above sea level, the highest - 2509 meters, thus forming a height difference of almost 2000 meters. The total length of trails at the resort is 77 km(This 80 % all routes of Krasnaya Polyana). Trails serve 18 lifts. The resort operates as a ski resort 140 days per year.

Freeride and off-piste skiing

If you get bored of skiing on the slopes, Krasnaya Polyana, and in particular Rosa Khutor, has a fairly thick layer of good snow. Snow remains in some places until summer. You don’t have to look for freeride trails for long; they start behind the official trails.

You will drive among centuries-old fir trees, which in itself is the height of pleasure. The terrain of the trails is also diverse; it is not for nothing that the Freeride World Tour freeride competitions were held at this resort.

The local snow is also called “powder” - so much so that skiing on it gives the feeling of flying. And according to some reviews, you need to go to Rosa Khutor to do freeride.

If you are an experienced freerider, it is not necessary to take an instructor to go “powder”. But keep in mind that once you leave the highway, the administration of Rosa Khutor is not responsible for your safety.

The administration of Rosa Khutor itself gives some advice to freeriders:

If you don’t want to spend a lot on food, we recommend taking sandwiches with you to the mountains, and then in the evening go to the villages of Krasnaya Polyana or Estosadok and, far from the ski slopes, look for a home restaurant for reasonable money.

Equipment rental at Rosa Khutor

Since the resort is relatively new, the latest ski and snowboard equipment from the most famous ski brands, such as Rossignol, Salomon, Atomic, Burton. Rental employees pay attention to the wishes of clients, carefully ask about skating skills, that is, it will not happen that a beginner will be given hard sports equipment for professionals.

Be sure to bring documents with you when renting equipment, otherwise you will have to leave a prohibitively large deposit.

There are two rental points on Rosa Khutor:

  • in the Mzymta Dvor building
  • in the Rosa Shelter building

Cost of equipment:

  • Snowboard equipment will cost from 1350 to 1600 rub. per day depending on the level of the skier and the class of equipment;
  • Skiing will cost from 1250 to 1750 rub. depending on the level and class.

Below are the rental rules taken from the official website of Rosa Khutor:

Where to store sports equipment? Special lockers

To store ski or snowboard equipment, special lockers- storage chambers with drying. They cost about 200 rub. in a day. On Rosa Khutor there are storage rooms in the Rosa Shelter building (the upper station of the Olympia ski lift) and Mzymta Dvor (rental building).

Ski school and instructor costs

If you have never skied or snowboarded before, if you have already started skiing in Moscow on Nagornaya and came to big mountains for the first time, if you skied a long time ago and want to quickly restore your technique, and, finally, if you are a good skier, but if you want to improve, you should go to the Rosa Khutor ski school.

Cost of individual lessons - from 4000 rub. in two hours on the slope. If you find this price too expensive, you can study in a group for 2000 rub. in two hours or 1000 rub. for one hour of classes. Many skiers advise keeping track of the time of their lesson with an instructor by the clock. Some instructors may arbitrarily shorten the riding time.

Where to go besides skiing

You won’t be “full” with just skating: you need to do something and In the evening. In addition to boring shopping and restaurants, Rosa Khutor can offer something truly interesting.

Indoor skating rink

There is no need to bring skates with you; you can rent them. The skating rink is open late and the ice is excellent. How cool it is to skate on the same ice that athletes skated on during the Olympic Games.

Sights of the Rosa Khutor resort

The attraction itself is the Mzymta River with its bridges(of which there are five and each has its own name: Romanov Bridge, Myshkin Bridge, Barsov Bridge, Peshkov Bridge). Almost everyone notes some kind of European spirit of the resort; some compare Rosa Khutor to Karlovy Vary.

I would especially like to say about Town Hall on Rose Square. This is the calling card of the ski resort. It houses the “Town Hall” restaurant, the cultural and ethnographic center “My Russia” and other objects.

Security at the resort

Security at the resort is carefully monitored. All lifts were developed by leading companies in this field. Avalanche control service, ski patrol and medical center operate regularly.

Snowcats regularly drive along the slopes and check the snow cover and icy areas.

But if you go off the road, you are responsible for your safety.

Extreme Park

The extreme park was built for the XXII Olympic Games to host snowboarding and freestyle skiing competitions. The park is divided into two centers: a snowboard center and a freestyle center.

Rosa Khutor resort address

354 392 Krasnodar region, Sochi, Adler district, Estosadok village, st. Olimpiyskaya, 35.

Independent travelers can always check the cost of tickets on aviasales and the cost of hotels on booking.com.

From our article you learned basic information about the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort Rosa Khutor. We hope you will become a fan of this resort and come here more than once.

We've heard a lot about Rosa Khutor. Therefore, having arrived in Sochi, we were going to buy an excursion. Price 800 rubles. Also for a 7 year old child. At the same time, you must pay an additional 1,590 rubles for the cable car.

If you don’t want to take the cable car up the mountains, you can just walk around the village while others climb to the top of the mountain. This is what a woman explained to us at one of the many excursion kiosks. We thought about it and decided to go on our own.

We didn’t regret it at all. You can get there from Sochi by train "Lastochka", but it runs less frequently than buses, and the ticket price is almost 200 rubles. higher. The journey will take about 1.5 hours.

Buses 105 or 105 S go from Moremall to Rosa Khutor. The service interval is approximately 20 minutes. The first bus leaves from the Moremall shopping center at 6.20. A ticket to the final stop on the high-speed bus - 105 C in 2018 costs 235 rubles. At the stop there are electronic boards indicating the time of arrival of the bus. Very comfortably. We sat down at the bus stop near the Svetlana boarding house. You pay for the fare immediately when boarding the bus, although usually in Sochi you pay when you get off the minibus.

The path to Rosa Khutor is not close - 2.5 hours. The road is excellent, but between Adler and Sochi sometimes we had to get stuck in traffic jams. After Adler airport we drove along a slightly winding mountain road.

Extraordinary beauty! First we admired the mountains, dense forests, and mountain rivers. The flickering landscapes of marvelous southern nature were enchanting.

Somehow unexpectedly this beauty was replaced by another.

This is in one of the modern villages in front of Rosa Khutor

We found ourselves in a completely different atmosphere.

Modern, beautiful houses in the villages of Krasnaya Polyana, Esto-Sadok, GorkiGorod, Gazprom amazed us with their unusualness.

It’s not for nothing that they write that they resemble European cities.

Comfortable hotels, developed infrastructure and international-class ski resorts. I really want to go there. The distance between these villages is small. Buses run frequently.

We walked around Rosa Khutor on our own. First we went to McDonald's, which was located next to the bus stop. I was amazed by the prices - two times less than in Arkhangelsk.

We were not drawn to the ski lifts; we are not fans of active recreation. But if we had known that having climbed the mountain, we would have seen different villages, perhaps we would have gone.

Queues at the ticket office for the ski lifts

Rosa Khutor is some kind of exemplary village, but there are no residential buildings here.

The Town Hall with a clock is one of the attractions of Rosa Khutor

Modern beautiful hotels along the river.

Pedestrian embankments where you can ride on the Emelya stove.

Bridges over the Mzymta.

Restaurants and cafes.

Every owner strives to decorate the surrounding area.

Mountains close to the village.

Lifts running upward.

Everything is beautiful and festive.

There is a playground for children.

Car rental and babysitting services are also offered here.

And for cars in Rosa Khutor there is a luxurious parking lot - a multi-level parking lot.

After walking around the streets on both sides of the Mzymta River Embankment, we decided to go to Perekrestok.

And there we saw inside that there was a children’s room on the second floor. Well, why not come in?
Seeing the trampolines, Masha, a lover of children's rooms, began to ask to leave her here. That's what we did.

The price, of course, is high, 500 rubles for an hour, 300 for half an hour. But they decided that the child would rest. An hour later, Masha was hardly persuaded to leave the room, although there was a promotion that day and you could stay for another hour for free.

And while Masha was relaxing in the children's room, we went to the local beach. Lake, pond, puddle?

They say that the water in the lake comes from a waterfall from a tributary of the Mzymta, flowing.

We are accustomed to the brown color; it is iron impurities that color the water such an unpleasant color. In the Northern Dvina it is always like this. It's OK.

Well, you can wash yourself after bathing in the shower.

There is a swimming pool nearby for children.

The water there is beautiful, blue, but very cool.

Sports equipment is located next to the beach and pool.

The children's area is small.

Like everywhere else in Sochi, the beach has small pebbles. Placed on some kind of fabric-like base, it shows through everywhere. Why wasn't the sand brought?

People fly over the beach.

Tickets for such a flight are purchased at a booth behind the beach. There is also a health path nearby.

There are warning signs at the entrance.

There is a trail plan.

We went down to the river and soaked our feet in the mountain water.

In front of the beach are toilets for women and men and changing rooms. You have to change clothes in a common room with other women.

There is also a cafe nearby. There are a lot of cafes in Rosa Khutor.

In Rosa Khutor there is a rental point in the Mzymta Dvor building, here you can choose any equipment: bicycle, Segway or skis.

There is also a first aid station here.

You can buy a painting of Rosa Khutor.

There are many concerts and festivals held here on the main square and the Rosa Hall MCC is a modern complex equipped with advanced equipment. It hosts more than 200 events a year.

We planned to stay here for three hours, but left on the last bus. It was crowded, many people stood for two hours. We were lucky, we were sitting in good seats. I really want to come to Rosa Khutor on vacation someday, for at least a week.

Hi all!

We can say that the resort is located on four levels.

The lower platform is Rosa Dolina - 560 meters above sea level.

There are six hotels, entertainment centers, rental shops, a swimming pool, and various cafes here.

Schematically it looks like this

The central square of Mzymta and the town hall building, where the information center is located.

The town hall building is stylized as the Sochi railway station, the main symbol of the city.

Mzymta Dvor, in the building there are rental points, as well as ticket offices. The cost of renting a bicycle is 250 rubles per hour or 1350 per day. You can rent both children's and adult bicycles, equipment, and Segways.

The lower site of the resort is located along the Mzymta River. The name of the river is translated as mad, due to its strong current and turbulent nature.

They say that our Rosa Khutor resort is very similar to the Karlovy Vary resort.

Rose Plateau - height 1170 meters above sea level.

I first saw the Olympic Village when I went on an excursion to Rosa Khutor by bus, and to be honest, I wasn’t very impressed with it. Well, yes, it must be cool to live in a hotel at an altitude of 1100 meters, I thought then.

But when I went to Rosa Khutor in the spring as a ski resort and booked a hotel in the Olympic Village, then I fully appreciated this place.

Rose Plateau or the mountain Olympic village looks very picturesque from the lift station

There are several hotels located here. This is where athletes lived during the Olympic Games.

The territory of the Olympic village is not very large, but everything is nearby and the hotels are located close to the ski lifts.

I really enjoyed living here during my vacation surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains.

We vacationed in the spring and it was certainly amazing. Below, spring is in full swing, and above in the mountains there is still snow and the ski season continues.

And down on the embankment in the valley at that time sakura was blooming

There are restaurants and shops in the center.

This is the avenue of flags

The highest point of the Rose Peak resort , located at an altitude of 2320 meters.

Rose Peak can only be reached by ski lift.

I was there in the spring, at the end of the ski season

There is an observation deck for tourists

Well, the highest point of the resort is the Stone Pillar, located at an altitude of 2509 meters. To get to it you will have to walk for a couple of hours.

The view from the mountains is stunning from any height. I love the mountains with a reverent love. Mountains give a feeling of freedom and happiness.

You can get to Rosa Khutor on your own or as part of an excursion group.

The price of the Adler-Rosa Khutor train is 340 rubles one way. But the price of excursion services is only 500 rubles (round trip plus an exciting excursion).

Both options are very interesting.

The price of the cable car is 1300 rubles to the highest point.

Advantages of an independent trip to Rosa Khutor:

You can hike to the highest point of the mountains;

You can visit the rope town Panda Park;

You can ride bicycles.

In general, it is fashionable to plan your unforgettable vacation.

When traveling with an excursion, you won’t have all of the above, but you can see a lot of interesting things along the way.

Ski season at Rosa Khutor

Many trails of varying difficulty. For example, having gone to Rosa Khutor I still didn’t know how to ride

There are signs everywhere indicating which route is which.

The beauty is certainly extraordinary!

Gondola and chairlifts at the resort

I liked that there is space for transporting snowboards and skis and not having to take them with you to the cabin.

You can go paragliding

In the spring, of course, you won’t be able to ride on the slopes below, since the snow has melted

What else can you see if you go to Rosa Khutor in the summer as part of an excursion?

We went by bus and our route ran through the territory of the Sochi National Park and the Caucasus Nature Reserve.

On the way, we made a wish at a waterfall, admired the beauty of the Akhun Gorge, tasted honey and wine, and also stopped at the neighboring Gazprom resort to get a glimpse of Putin’s residence.

Akhun Gorge.

The longest suspension bridge in the world, which is scary to walk on. And from this bridge, the brave and daring can jump headfirst; such pleasure is very expensive (the guide named the price 16 thousand rubles). Personally, I’m afraid to even cross such a bridge, and I’ll certainly never dare to jump.
