The fire on the passenger ship "Sergey Abramov", moored at the third berth of the Northern River Station in Moscow, broke out at about 4 am on November 14, 2011. The ship was already used as a hotel and restaurant at that time. The source of ignition was in one of the cabins in the aft part of the ship, which was occupied by the crew. According to the conclusion, it was smoking in the wrong place that caused the fire. As a result of the fire, the ship's minder German Koligaev died.

On November 23, 2011, during emergency work on the ship "Sergey Abramov", a fire breaks out again, which can be quickly extinguished. On the river forums they talk about "mockery of the corpse."

The operation to raise a sunken and burned-out ship is also not without oddities. By November 20, 2011, Podvodrechstroy sealed 154 portholes, but one was missed (it was broken), which led to the fact that “the Khimki reservoir was pumped through it for almost 4 weeks.” When the broken porthole was closed, the water was pumped out overnight.

On December 22, 2011, an operation was carried out to transfer the raised ship "Sergey Abramov" from the place of fire to the mooring wall of the Northern cargo port of Moscow. The transfer of the ship to a new place of sludge was carried out by the pusher tug "OTA-920". Irina Panfilova managed to capture the moment of the beginning of this operation.

It would seem that. If the ship cannot be restored, then dispose of it on the spot in the Northern Cargo Port. But the Northern Cargo Port is not a cutting board. For the disposal of the whole ship, it was necessary to obtain a lot of permits and approvals. As a result, it was decided to overtake the burnt ship "Sergey Abramov" to Cherepovets for its disposal at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant.

The operation to ferry the ship began on November 8, 2012. The tug "Peacock Vinogradov" carefully led the "Sergey Abramov" to Cherepovets. The pusher "Sluice-111" helped him in this. We walked slowly, and only during daylight hours.

On November 14, at about four o'clock in the morning, the three-deck ship "Sergey Abramov", moored in the northern River Station of the capital, caught fire.
The source of ignition was in the hold, but in a few hours the fire spread to all three decks of the vessel.

2. Northern river station - one of the two river stations in Moscow. Located on the banks of the Khimki reservoir.
The Northern River Station was built simultaneously with the Moscow Canal even before the Khimki reservoir was filled in 1937. The station is an architectural monument and one of the symbols of Moscow - the "port of five seas".

4. The ship was considered a VIP-class ship; after reconstruction, a TV and air conditioning appeared in its cabins, as well as individual showers and bathrooms.
A few years ago, the ship became one of the filming locations for the film Election Day.

5. At the time of the fire, there were 31 people on board. Of these, 15 passengers and 16 crew members. 4 people were injured: 3 were poisoned by combustion products, 1 was hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis.

6. It is noteworthy that the ship was named after the now living owner, which had no analogues, since ships are not named after living people.

7. The fire area was 1500 m2. The stern part burned out. According to eyewitnesses, the ship cannot be restored.

8. The ship was built for the Volga River Shipping Company in 1960 according to the project 26-37 in Slovakia and until 2003 worked on the Moscow-Astrakhan transport line. From construction until 1965 it was called "Friendship". Until 2004 it was called "Captain Rachkov".

9. 14:30 in the area of the northern River Station, everything is in smoke.

10. Rescuers consider wiring problems and careless handling of fire as two main versions of the causes of a fire on a ship in the north of Moscow.

In the spring of 1960, in Czechoslovakia, for the Volga Shipping Company, a passenger ship "Druzhba" was built. For more than 40 years, he carried passengers along the Volga, from Moscow to Astrakhan. Since 1965, the ship has been named after Captain Rachkov, who died in the Battle of Stalingrad. In 2003, the ship "Kapitan Rachkov" was sold from the shipping company to Moscow to businessman Sergei Abramov, who converted the ship and named it after himself. After that, the ship began to work in the market of river cruises. The ship "Sergey Abramov" became widely known after the release of the film "Election Day" in October 2007, where the ship "played" the main role. In summer, the ship carried tourists, in winter it received guests as a floating hotel at the Moscow river station. In November 2011, the ship completely burned down in Moscow, and exactly a year later it was sent to Cherepovets, where its half-century history ended.

Motor ship "Druzhba" - "Captain Rachkov" since 1965 - refers to passenger ships, which initially, after construction, worked in the Volga Shipping Company, on the high-speed passenger line Moscow-Astrakhan-Moscow. Vessels made stops at almost all marinas. Tickets were sold both for the full route and from one pier to another. The line was preferential; for many, travel on the ship was free. That is why, in 2005, it was closed, but back in 2003, the ship "Kapitan Rachkov" changed its owner and was bought by Moscow businessman Sergei Abramov. This year marks the beginning of a new page in the ship's history.

Purchased by Abramov in the Volga Shipping Company, two of the same type of passenger ships "Kapitan Rachkov" and "Sergei Lazo" were the first ships of this type that underwent a major modernization and re-equipment to improve passenger comfort. The cabins were equipped with bathrooms, the layout of public spaces was improved, and passenger capacity was reduced. The re-equipment of "Rachkov" was completed by the summer of 2004 ("Lazo" by 2005) and two ships began to work on tourist passenger routes. "Captain Rachkov" became, and "Sergey Lazo" turned into. During the inter-navigation period, the ships ("Abramov";) began to be used as a floating hotel at the Northern River Station on the Khimki Reservoir in Moscow. In the summer they made cruises from Moscow to St. Petersburg, along the Volga and Kama.

In the summer of 2006, the ship takes part in the filming of the comedy "Election Day" directed by Oleg Fomin, where members of the "Quartet I" played the main roles. Filming took place in Moscow and on the Volga, in the cities of Uglich, Bely Gorodok and Yaroslavl. The film premiered in October 2007. It is noteworthy that, according to the script, the action of the film took place on the ship "Nikolai Bauman" - now this vessel, called, operates as a floating hostel on the Caspian Sea. The cover of the DVD with the film depicts the motor ship "Lesya Ukrainka", which initially and until 2001 worked on the Dnieper (since 2007, the ship has been called ). At the beginning of the film, two Sergei Abramovs are captured at once - a man (driving a convertible) and, in fact, the ship itself.

On the night of November 13-14, 2011, a fire broke out on board the ship, moored at the pier of the Northern River Station in Moscow. Extinguishing the ship lasted a record time - more than 15 hours. As a result, the ship burned out, more than completely, and having taken on water during the extinguishing, it sank.

After the fire was extinguished, in which one person died, an operation began to raise it. To do this, portholes were sealed and pumping of water began. But almost a month after the start of pumping out the water, it turned out that one of the windows remained broken, which led to the fact that. When it was closed, the water was pumped out overnight. After that, until the next November, 2012, the vessel remained in the water area of the reservoir, near
berths of the cargo port. In the summer, an investigation was completed, which announced that the cause of the fire was .

On the afternoon of November 8, 2012, the ship "Sergey Abramov", with the help of two tugboats, began moving on its last voyage - to cut to Cherepovets, where it was delivered 10 days later. In the winter of 2012-2013, the ship was cut to pieces.

On February 18, 2016, the film "Election Day-2" is released - a continuation of the satirical comedy based on the play "Quartet I". The plot of the new film, although not connected with the fleet and cruises, like the first part, is also not far from the water: the shooting took place on the Volga in Astrakhan. The plot of the film is as follows: a couple of weeks before the next re-election, the same unfortunate governor Tsaplin is present at the opening ceremony of the bridge across the Volga, which, in theory, should become the main trump card of his campaign and the key to successful re-election. However, all plans for a brighter future collapse overnight along with the bridge. Meanwhile, a rival appears on the political arena - a protege of higher authorities. The main obstacle on the way to Tsaplin's victory is Tsaplin himself, who suddenly realized something important and fell into escapism and downshifting.

It is worth noting that the script of the film is based on the theatrical production of Quartet I and the group Accident. The premiere of the play took place in 2003, and it appeared as a continuation of the previously released play "Radio Day". According to the "theatrical version", the action takes place not on the "Abramov", but on board (now it is).

The choice of "Abramov" was due to the fact that the shooting was chamber and large space was not required. And despite the smaller size, the ship was in no way inferior in comfort. The ship, built in 1960 in Czechoslovakia (originally named Druzhba), operated under the name of the Volga Shipping Company until 2002, making voyages from Moscow to Astrakhan. Then, for two years, it took place and went on its first flights in the fall of 2004 under the name "Sergey Abramov".

By the way, in the film Election Day there is such a moment when the following dialogue sounds:

Listen, and Sergey Abramov - who is this?
- What are you, here is the ship!

In fact, there were two Abramovs in the film: both the ship and the person after whom the ship was named. - CEO who owned the ship. He was born in Baku in 1953. He worked in the medical field until 1989, and from 1990 to 1995 he worked in the USA (cosmetic and tourism activities, a clothing company, a restaurant business). Since 1996 he has been working in Russia in the hotel business. As he explained several years ago, he decided to name the ship after himself because of this: “this is a kind of challenge to society. Why don't I immortalize myself in the ship? I gave the ship a new life and I am proud of my creation. ". In the film, Abramov can be seen at the beginning of the picture - he is driving a convertible, bringing Victoria Alexandrovna, Emmanuil Gedeonovich's companion, to the ship, just in the very frame where she asks who Abramov is.

Filming took place in June and July 2006 in the Tver and Yaroslavl regions. Parts of the plots were filmed in Bely Gorodok, and, as well as at the Northern River Station in Moscow.

By the way, on the official DVD and cassettes released after the premiere, the cover does not depict Nikolai Bauman or Sergey Abramov at all, but the ship, which is now operating under the name.

After filming the film "Sergey Abramov" he continued to work in the field of river cruises. At first, the ship operated on flights from Moscow, and then made cruises from Kazan for several years. During the inter-navigation period, that is, from autumn to spring, the ship is used as a floating hotel at the berths in Moscow.

Unfortunately, on the night of November 13-14, 2011, a fire broke out on board the ship, moored at the pier of the Northern River Station in Moscow. The extinguishing of the ship lasted more than 15 hours. As a result, the ship burned out, and later, having taken on water, sank. One person died in the fire. In the summer of 2012, an investigation was completed, which announced that the cause of the fire was a cigarette butt in the crew cabin. In November 2012, the ship was towed from Moscow, where by the end of August 2013 it was completely cut into metal on.
